I am LDS. I don't like all of Elder Oaks' ideas. I wonder if my local leaders (bishop / stake president) will "gently guide me back into line with" Elder Oaks' thinking. I understand that the thinking has been done when he, Oaks, says, "Don't criticize The Brethren, even when they are wrong."
It is easy, for me, to see that he...as one of The Brethren, himself...is thus telling us (i.e, has already thus told us) not to criticize him, himself.
