This is just a money making scheme for the owners of the baiid device in conjunction with the states. Its unconstitutional! Nobody has the right to tell you what you must put on your car. And furthermore when the damn thing goes off and you are driving you can't always blow safely into the thing. The laws are becoming a police state and we must stop this. HOW about getting rid of all the illegals driving drunk for a start? Money, money, money.
@talltom1973 If you decide to plead guilty, because you think it will be easier. Guess what, you're wrong. You still lose your license for a year or more, and still have to get this device. So not getting why a lawyer would advise you to plead guilty. Oh I get it, it makes the lawyer's job easier.
@CComb501 I agree, never lead guilty. In my case a I interviewed three lawyers, and picked the one that gave me the best advice. His advice was simple, just make them prove their case. They cannot punish you more, if you want a trial. I was arrested in Philadelphia, and that city has a real messed court system. It was a long drawn out case, and I lost. But I won in other ways, I was given a 5 day sentence as opposed to 6 months. The first two lawyers wanted me to plead guilty, which is
@talltom1973 continued: ridiculous. I mean one wanted $2000 to get me 90 weekends. He acted like he was doing me a big favor. Also gave me some lousy advice on a civil suit. I was arrested with just over $700 in cash on me. I sued to recover that, and settled a month ago. It's not about money it's about principle with me. I think one person was fired over my case. And it gives me satisfaction
