Well I am not a VW owner, nor am i tryin to start a battle. The r32 is too little car for the money. They are a quick car, but nothing too impressive. Stock vs. stock I've seen 2.0T gti's outrun them. but I blame the awd for that. Yes I like VW and yes I like the R32's I jus think they could have done a better job on them. The 2.5 rabbit can be a great car with few mods. The need to bring back the Corrado's or import the scirroco's

the best ive seen a stock mkv r32 run was a 15.2 the mk4 was 14.5 if u ask me that sucks i ran a 15 flat with just an intake on my 1.8t so im not a fan of the r32

yep, no turbos...my car is about 2950lbs stock...straight pipe, rear bench, spare/tool kit, engine cover= approx 2850lb car

an r32's curb weight= 3547 lbs

Rabbit= gaic software, intake, exhaust=195 hp, 207 lb ft torque @ crank

r32= 250 hp, 236 lb ft torque

just got a 09 rabbit, still stock it keeps up with my buddies 90 integra GSR (intake, exhaust, and type r cams) and have beaten several other hondas, and even pulled a mk4 gti from a dig ;)

Wish I learned manual, but the auto is only 0.1 sec slower than the manual based on drag times stick vs auto on rabbitsownersclub.

Still crazy for a 6speed auto though.

Rabbits outrun any car in it's class; Civics, Cobalts, Accords. It's classified as a family hatchback. Put it up against a performance car and you really can't predict the outcome?

Rabbit are the fastest car available in their class. In fact, a Rabbit is faster than a Civic, Mazda 3, Lancer, Impreza, Sentra, Cobalt, Corolla, Matrix etc. So yes they are fast. And for the R32, they are the best ! :D
