Just back to USA from vacay in Ireland, visited Shankill area, it's pretty sobering. Seems very little to do with religion and all to do with home rule.

On the Ulster side, zero Gaelic writing, on the Irish side usually english and Gaelic together.

I've grown up around some of the "proud Irish Americans" who think the IRA are freedom fighters or something, as opposed to the child killing cunts that they are.
