Now as far as the right port area. the rule of thumb is 12-16inches of port area for every cubic foot you have. Now that you know how much airspace your gona run and how....

#1. Trash the capacitor. there only good if you have the right amount of batteries to power them. All they do is keep a steady stream of power to the amp so theres no fluctuation. That being said if you have the right amount of batteries and have them setup properly you dont need a cap. Therefor there a waste of money.

@falkenlaser No, i haven't heard an XXX in person but they have great reviews. RE does not make sound quality subs but they do get loud, and yes are much cheaper than JL. My second choice to JL is RE. But if you are going for SQ only then save a little extra and go with a W6...flawless sound.

@i8nopunk ok let me break it down...take one side of voice coil lets say negative run a short piece of wire from negative on one coil to positive on other coil then run ur wires from amp to the other two open hookups.the amp will bridge its self aoutomaticlly.thats the best way to get the best load on the amp and get best output...i run low crossover..setings i change all the time so really dont have a idea just tune it by ear really...tune ported box works great gotta have a beffy box

I bought a 13w7 on craigslist for $200. It wasn't in a box, so I ended up buying a box for 150. I have a memphis audio digital 1000 amp.
It's funny because I only bought this because I blew a 12" memphis sub and couldn't ride with the pioneer premier that I had as a backup.
W7 takes it all and wants more. Now I'm told I need to get the JL1000/1 to keep up. I was satisfied with what I have until I heard my boys 12w7on the 1000/1.
Wow man....very nice system! The box you have is the perfect size for the 13W7. Lots of people throw a W7 in a tiny box and it doesn't bring out the full potential in the speaker. The big box makes a nice deep bass. 4 10W7's coming soon to my Silverado!

I bought a 13w7 on craigslist for $200. It wasn't in a box, so I ended up buying a box for 150. I have a memphis audio digital 1000 amp.
It's funny because I only bought this because I blew a 12" memphis sub and couldn't ride with the pioneer premier that I had as a backup.
W7 takes it all and wants more. Now I'm told I need to get the JL1000/1 to keep up. I was satisfied with what I have until I heard my boys 12w7on the 1000/1.
I can't afford to compete, but damn...

Wow man....very nice system! The box you have is the perfect size for the 13W7. Lots of people throw a W7 in a tiny box and it doesn't bring out the full potential in the speaker. The big box makes a nice deep bass. 4 10W7's coming soon to my Silverado!
