Yes I do know God. As a Christian I am called by God to know his love personally, to believe in Him. I believe the Holy Bible to be Gods words and I live my life to what God asks of me (the best I can). Through these things alone I am reviled the greatest of truths. I did not receive these things by men or by churches, for what is their authority but scripture? I hope everyone takes the time to read the New Testament with an open heart. You will be shocked. I wish this young man read the Bible.

Christianity's perspective is that of Grace, and God's Grace, and love, and that you cant do nothing more, or less for God to love you, due to the good works of Jesus.

Islam's perspective is that of God is the Most Gracious, Most Merciful, Most Loving, but you must adhere to certain rules of God to gain reward, and on breaking, gain Sin. And that on judgement, you will either be destined to Heaven, or Hellfire. Islam also deems Jesus a Prophet of God, but not crucified ->? needs further reading

@torpedo192 That's wishful thinking. Jesus NEVER taught what you think for salvation. What are "the good works of Jesus"? Jesus didn't abolish Moses' law; you are following Paul. Jesus told his disciples to do MORE good works than the Pharisees; he asked them to leave everything behind, to carry their own crosses and to hate their families. Read Heb 7:5 and THINK of the Sign of Jonah which Jesus promised to give. If u ask the ship's passengers, they will say:he died; but he did NOT die.

And because of their saying (in boast), "We killed Messiah Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah," - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but it appears so to them [the resemblance of Isa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man)], and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)]

@torpedo192 thank you for the message. I believe the gospels written and signed by Jesus's friends and family who knew Jesus and witnessed the crucifixion to be a more accurate account of Jesus's life than Mohammed's account written 300 years after Jesus's death. Forgive me if that sounded coarse.

@torpedo192 Again, Jesus COMPARED his fate with that of Jonah-the Sign of Jonah. It APPEARED to the passengers of the ship that Jonah died. If u were among them, u would think that he died; wouldn't u? So, the description of the Qur'an is VERY accurate: it APPEARED to them. What u said of "[the resemblance of Isa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man)]" is NOT in the verse; it's a human theory. Remember that Jesus NEVER appeared to his ENEMIES after his disappearance. Why?

Fascinating. God is not religion, nor calls you to have religion but love him and you brother as he loves you, and have a relationship with Him? So you gave up the miracle of the Cross and the forgiveness of sins because YOU didn't understand your OWN faith and attributed the sins of the world to it? You should read more....curious?...

Jesus preached the government of God(Kingdom of heaven) from Isaiah 9

If Jesus said He came to give us LIFE then that is the gospel(good news). It's not 'sin and death' religion.

@yarrw The repulsive bible produced Carl Marx who said: religion is the drug of masses. In the words of Isaac Asimov from his Guide to the Bible: "Properly read, the Bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived." The bible made a mockery out of religion of God. Some atheists say: we don't believe in the god of the bible. I don't blame them. Read your bible. Does it fit the ATTRIBUTES of the Almighty PERFECT God? Is he that BLOODY and FILTHY? Think.
