I guess we should take tests and have permits for free speech, because, you know, people can say some really stupid things (like the host of this debate).
My gun is the only personal property protected by the Constitution. It's just as much a right for me to carry as my freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc...
That guy that is talking about people just randomly shooting folks is full of it. I don't get the notion that I'm more inclined to be a criminal if the gun is a couple seconds closer to me at any given time. I have a ton of weapons (hands, tools, knives, vehicle) at my disposal through the day and I don't hurt people. It's called morality.
