HoN has balancing issues. Dota was balanced and rebalanced almost to perfection over countless versions, the same will happen to HoN. However this is a moot point since both Dota and HoN will shrivel and dry up before the game Valve and Icefrog delivers.

Ive played both of them, and i have to say that HoN is much better, not only for the graphics, but for the heroes, sounds, graphics, no lag and a lot more of options, like no leavers, choosing styles...

IceFrog has said that he will make a standalone game of DotA in partnership or something with steam. Ofcourse HoN has an advantage over graphics/other cool shit that DotA can't do because of the restriction war3, a totally old rts game btw. When DotA turns SA it will depend on the skill/experience of the developers and ofcourse the feedback of the players.

try taking a look at their website the gamelpay is the same as dota with 3 lanes 3 different atributes as well as some familier charecters like this one called "pebbles" looks exactly like tiny to me however the graphics are newer and some heros different its a copy

I'm actually quite welcome to changes, if they're good, which the HoN changes aren't.

The makers can't make AI, they've made the sightrange longer, they've zoomed in the screen to an extreme, they've increased most aoe spells radius, added and boosted heroes that really needed no boost.

The good thing from dota is that it was balanced, and varying, this game is not

I'm actually quite interested about LoL though, the graphics, the game system, and the mechanics are awesome, it could get good

Could you give some examples? I got a beta key a few days ago and I've been playing ever since. I disagree with you on every point. I haven't seen a single imbalanced hero, the camera angle is fine, the graphics are absolutely GORGEOUS, and I haven't noticed any large AoE radii either.

Well, Not everyone agreed with the changes icefrog made to dota... Even the world professionnal, that's why they're playing with older versions. Plus, you can't really call it the original, there have been so many updates... But still, HoN is very fun, very entertaining, but nothing beats a good ol' dota game, it's just that once I played HoN, I get bored fast of the wc3 engine.

How is LoL a fail? Because they are trying something different? HoN is just a reskinned DotA, and you might as well just play DotA. map is exactly like dota. Much better system tho. With the stats system, the last game i didnt get a single leaver, whereas in dota i get 1 every game. Heroes are mostly the same but kinda different. Its pretty much dota on a different engine which means its an improved dota
