  • My hair is naturally curly, and I would have to blow it out before using these. I know you didn't use any product, but should I moisturize my hair (thermal protectant or a light oil/creme) to set the curl? I'd like the curls to last a while so I don't have to use these everyday. Thanks in advance.

  • thanks for this!

  • Your hair looks BEAUTIFUL! arghh :P

  • Thank you...buying!

  • Hi. Love your video. Question: does the unit itself clicks constantly when it is switched to Ionic Steam? I just received mine in the mail today. your help would be wonderful!

  • @mrchrmedone

Nope Caruso rollers use steam so they don't damage your hair with heat :)

  • miss gurl do u have to use any kind od heat [protectant?

  • Beautiful curls...nice vid!

  • Good Video! :)

  • Damn, those are some gorgeous curls! I can't wait to use mine.

  • i have the curl formers i bought them at sallys i dont think they are expensive.. and i love them i also have the caruso ones.. i love them as well. :)

  • Enjoyed your video. I used Caruso steam rollers almost 20 years ago when they were first introduced on infomercials. Now I'm curious to see if my ancient unit still works. If not, I'll invest in a new one. :)

  • Are you mixed with anything?

  • I love your videos they are so informative and professionals...I actually enjoy watching them

  • does this work on weave too?

  • Yep, I'm convinced. I'm buying this :) Nice Vid.

  • @guiltymanners Thanks =)

  • I've had these since 2006 and only tried them twice - without luck...back then I don't think a lot of people put up tutorials on youtube...thanks so much...now I can try again!!!!

  • @igar1 Yay! How did it go?

  • Hi thanks for this tutorial :)

On average how long does it take from start to finish, i am thinking this may be an alternative for curling tongs in the morning

    Thanks

  • @blackdoll24 I can literally do this in 15-20 minutes. It's SO FAST! I just put them in before I do my makeup, and by the time I'm done with that, the curlers are ready to come out. Multi-tasking +1 =)

  • omg you are sooo pretty strach that your gorgeous

  • @LadyLoveOdora thank you!

  • Very nice

  • @summer21star thank you =)

  • VERY VERY NICE!!! I can't wait to my hair gets this length! i will ROCK this hair style! nice video!

  • @HereComesTheBride1 hahaha thanks!

  • gorgeous, and you explained the process very well. i agree you should be a comercial model, you'll be great

  • @wifeybeca Thank you =)

  • great review, but does steam burn skin? YES. so does steam damage hair? YES.

  • @chantelleemily I understand how your logic got you to your conclusion, but I disagree. Like I told another poster with a similar opinion to yours… You are NOT putting the roller in your hair and pumping steam into it. You're allowing the roller to heat up slightly with moist heat, then transferring it to your head. By the time you wrap your hair around it, it's warm at best. No damage.

  • @LaurenMechelle oh wow, wasnt expecting a reply haha. I spose its better than curling irons although it can cause 'bubble hair' and even something warm is heat and damaging to an extent. ANY heat will damage your hair to an extent but this is probably the least damaging way of curling your hair (excluding rollers and letting them air dry)

  • Your hair looks beautiful and I wanted mine to be beautiful too, but my hair is always frizzy after I caruso :-( , what am I doing wrong?

  • @AashaBiancaB Try steaming each roller for a shorter period of time… if there's too much steam, they can make your hair frizzy =(

  • I have to say you did a great job with this tutorial!! I loved how you explained and showed all steps including product set up! Thanks!

  • @dpaul8227 No problem =)

  • you should be a commercial model, great video!

  • @MissLoveLorie Thanks! That's not a bad idea =)

  • @Chanxoxo I just used these this past weekend without a blowdryer, and by the time I had gotten dressed and done my makeup (~45 min) they were dry. With a blowdryer it takes like a minute, if that.

  • excellent review and tutorial love how you got to the point demonstrated how the product worked and gave a good visual of the finished results without blabbering off topic for the first 10 minutes i'm now definitely purchasing these curlers :D thanks again!

  • @KARTOFFELKOPF86 Hahahah I HATE when I'm watching a video and the person goes on forever about random things... So I'm glad you liked mine =)

  • steam is still very hot so your hair will ofcourse be damaged when overused

  • @donpronto Not with these... by the time you pick the roller up off of the steamer and roll your hair on them, it isn't hot anymore... more warm and damp. It isn't as though you're steaming them while they're in your hair, so there isn't enough heat to do any damage... And considering the temeratures we set our straighteners to, these don't even come close.

  • Why did you do the blow dry at the end? Is that step necessary?

  • @candygirl2319 It isn't necessary, I just did it to speed up the drying process of the rollers... Otherwise you can just let them sit until they're fully dry.

  • i have to say, this is a really well made video tutorial. straight to the point and really useful.

  • @missmys Thank you!

  • Very beautiful results. Could you do a video of how you keep/maintain the hairstyle through the week? Ty

  • @1986annann That's definitely on the to-do list! In general I don't keep this style for longer than a couple days, and when the curls start to fall I just do it over again because it's so fast and easy!

  • You sold me! Grabbing some!

Can you buy them at Target?

  • @bailey1950 I'm not sure... I've never looked for them there... but you could check the site!

  • love it!!

  • @lashawna07 Thanks =)

  • Where can I purchase these at? Or something similar?

  • @MizzIntensity Links to where you can buy everything is on my blog, link to the post is in the description =)

  • I am so getting these!!! I wished I would of found your videos when I had hair lol I have the rhianna thing going on very short in the back and long in the front. But I am still getting these so I can have nice curls in the front. Keep the videos and tips coming!!

  • @je55ica88 I wish I had the courage to try different styles with my hair, the only really "drastic" thing I've tried is bangs lolol (not drastic at alllll). But yeah, they should work well with the front part =)

  • Hey Lauren! This is so pretty. I purchased curlformers after watching your video on them!!! :) Now I want to purchase caurso rollers after watching this. I love this look!!! Very Pretty!!...but can you do me a favor please????lol...can you do a tutorial using the larger rollers, I just want to see the results of the different size rollers before I purcase the unit! Thanks so much!!!

  • @EIREEB That's a great idea! Once I've had a chance to sit down and do it, I'll take pictures of the results you can get with each size, and upload them to my site. When I'm done, I'll shoot you a message =) For now, if you watch the part when I first start taking out the rollers, the first two rollers are the large size, so those curls are indicative of the results you can expect.

  • How long does this take?

  • @Teijibana You can't? I didn't know YouTube blocked videos according to location! I;m glad you got a chance to see it elsewhere though =)

It takes about 15 minutes, from beginning to end... it's SO FAST!

  • @LaurenMechelle thank you yeah youtube does that , says for copyright reasons

  • @Teijibana Booooo I'd change it if I could =0/

  • @LaurenMechelle aww that's so sweet lol

  • her voice is so commercial. You should get a job to advertise a product.

Ps: I love the video. I can't access this because I live in the Caribbean.

  • @marvinandjosh Thank you! I'm SO EXCITED to hear about your results =)

  • Did you use setting lotion on your hair? Your rollerset looks lovely. Thanks for the tutorial.

  • @NovembersSun Thank you =) I didn't use any kind of anything! Crazy right? I have heard that you can put a splash of setting lotion in with the water for more hold, but I was happy with just plain water =)

  • Love my carusos! Love you hair, looks so healthy

  • @BraidedBeauty8002 I can't believe it took so long for me to try them!

  • Very nice video! It was so professional as well, like a commercial for Caruso!!! LOL.

  • @nisey088 Lolol I guess it is!
