these were good tips in spite of there being something completely silly about them. if you are in the wild, with no one around, you are probably done for. but maybe you pet a tiger at a zoo or something and it goes amok, that gag reflex by pushing down its throat might save you a few seconds for help to come, i have also heard of doing that if you are bitten by a pit bull. instead of instinctive pulling away, shove your hand down its throat and it will gag.
