Increíble como suena, el maestro _Arrau comenzó a interpretar los Etudes a la edad de 11 o 12 años... toda una vida interpretando a Liszt profundizaron en él la obra del genio húngaro a un nivel inigualable. Todas sus interpretaciones de Liszt son profundas, poderosas.. casi como un libro abierto al corazón de Liszt. Para mí él es lejos su mejor intérprete.

He's awesome. I don't like how he plays the part from 1:37 to 1:47.

It feels a little dull, maybe too slow, not jumpy enough, I don't know.

The whole performance is incredible though. A role model.

OMG that ending is just WAAY too freakin epic! I allways wanna cry there! it's just soo uplifting, inspirational, powerful.... I could listen to it 100 times in a row! oh, the power of music!

@chutdigadut dont listen to music 100 times in a row if possible, it can get boring when you are learning then. those extremely hard pieces like etudes d´execution transcendante take alot of nerves to learn and people dont often even finish it :(

@BlazeKenny I've never actually listened to any piece 100 times in a row, and I've actually learned and performed a few of the transcendental etudes so I know the patience, hard work and dedication that it takes, and you're exactly right. I just REALLY admire Claudio Arrau's interpretation here and I feel like I can listen to it many times without getting sick of it because it's an amazing interpretation. That's all I was trying to say.

in dieser etüde kommen inhaltlich,ähnlich wie bei liszt selbst,wildheit und kultivierte beherrschung zusammen.sie liegen im wett- und widerstreit miteinander,wer die oberhand gewinnt und behält.arrau bringt das kunststück fertig,wildheit durch kultur auszudrücken,wodurch sie gezähmt wird.sein klavierspiel ist klanglich so untadelig,die technik so veredelt und makellos,dass diese etüde von liszt etwas humanes bekommt.barbarei[wildheit]wird durch kultur sogar schön,so hinreißend gespielt!
