@sorazgurl As a social worker, I agree. Observe what your kids are drawn to and let them have at it, if you have the resources. If you don't, find someone, a place, an org that does. I often come online and read comment from his parents and they seem to be level headed people who aren't egotistically invested in Jonah's outcome. They haven't made this about them.(it's OBVIOUS it IS about their parenting)

Does he understand music (time, note values, etc) or does he simply play by ear? For example does he know what a sextuplet is or does he just naturally play them without having to understand what they are?

Either way the kid is a prodigy. If he continues, he's going amazing as a young adult. Has he shown any interest in any other instruments?

This kid is incredible. Granted, his ability to keep time could use improvement, but because he's only 6 it's perfectly reasonable for him to have a problem like that. Any child drummer finds themselves struggling to keep time, but he's great at getting back into it. I love your guys' taste of music but I strongly disagree with the choices of drumming quipment you use lol. All in all, all of his covers are solid. He particulary amazed me with his cover of Tom Sawyer.

Is it me, or does he seem a little less enthusiastic here than on earlier videos? Almost noncholant? As though it's not quite chanllenging enough for him? Don't get me wrong; not crticising; he's amazing. It just seems to have a different feel to it than some of the others. It's the passion he generally displays that's so wonderful. And it seems (to me, of course; this is just my impression, for what it's worth) as though he has a little less, playing on this track.
