@ armandozapata, in reply to your question during a WRC stage (any stage for that matter) if you dont finish you forfit whatever points you had for that rally, in Latvala's case he was only 38 seconds from finfishing 3rd.

no actually. he hit a can full of sand on teh side of the road, that damaged his steering and took him straight into the wall.

A faultless weekend ruined by a tiny super special. Jarri makes far too many silly mistakes. He has the speed but hasnt yet got the consistency thats needed. Hes like a young Colin mcrae great to watch but if hes not on podium hes in a ditch. This isnt a dig at him because i really like him

i would have let it rest on the barrier and launch the car and let the barriers guide the car to the finish. this sucks for Jari. Disappointing to see my favourite driver make such a careless mistake

Don't talk crap, you can clearly see he is trying to do so but its on a loose surface and when the car comes into contact with the barrier the N/S/F just digs in leaving him with nothing he can do.

Just so sad. It was like a nighmare! Guys had done a fantastic job the whole weekend and then taking a line just a few centimetres too in and steering breaks up.

I REALLY hope that Latvala is mentally OK when Rally Finland starts. He has the speed to win, but damn, he just doesn't know to back off when needed. Gotta love that style though. Good old "Maximum attack" style!
