The Boss LS is a very quick and nimble car. Only .7 of a second off of an M5, very close and a second quicker then the M3. Ford did there home work on this car, straight axel too. .
So what this is telling me is that even the new M5 is with the extra doors is quicker than all of these, Hmm! Also, the M3 is like 5 years old with no major updates (rims and rework damper control). So Boss buyers will feel special that the car runs circles around a stock E90 M3. Ford is on a major comeback, but the advertising is beyond ridiculous!!

I'm talking about the advertising using an old M3 so we must use the new M5 (the car on he list that beats it) to show that we must keep with times unless we modify (which is what the Boss is using you logic) If not we should get a ferrari 458, an R8 5.2 or an M3 gts. Minus the R8 if you want equal cylinders.
Regarding the braking performance. It doesn't have better braking performance than a 911. Why? The Boss 302 Laguna Seca comes on R compound tires, the Carrera S uses standard Pirelli P zero's (same as the standard Boss 302), notice how they convenienty switched to the Laguna Seca for the brake test......
They weren't putting these cars against each othe those are just the cars it was faster than around that track. They didn't bring all these cars to race each other.

I wonder why as an auto related video mag, your test are not squared off fairly. This Mustang is clearly an upgraded variant of the regular mustang. Why not u pit it against R8 GT or 911 GTRS, M5 or Ferrari 430 CS? All are upgraded versions of their respective stock cars. By now you should realize that even if this car is fast, there would a faster one next. So bragging rights are only short term happiness.

The Boss 302 was designed by Ford from the ground up for this type of racing..... Unfortunately I couldn't afford one so I got a V6 6spd coupe instead. These new V6 engines coupled with the 6 speed manual trans pretty much smokes most cars out there anyway and, get 30 mpg on gas.....

Ich muss schon sagen, dass ist Balsam auf die belächelte "Starrachsen-Seele". Habe zwar nur den normalen 2011 5.0 V8, aber es waren viele auf dem Ring und in Hockenheim überrascht, wie gut der neue Mustang geht. Danke für´s Veröffentlichen. Es ist halt alles ein wenig puristischer und rustikaler im Mustang, aber ich bereue keine Sekunde ins amerikanische Regal gegriffen zu haben.

Danke für die Antwort. Wird die PCCB nicht im Allgemeinen überbewertet? Ich hab mal irgendwo einen Test zwischen der normalen Bremse und PCCB gelesen, da war der Abstand minimal. Auch von Leuten, die mit der PCCB auf Trackdays gehen hört man oft Klagen, auch wegen des hohen Verschleißes bei Rennstreckenbetrieb. Unter anderem wird die kaputt gebremst, weil man bis zum Schluss kein Fading bemerkt.
@ATBullittChannel genau richtig! wer professionell Rennsport betreibt wird immer auf die PCCB verzichten. Die Bremsleistung ist, wenn überhaupt, nur geringfügig besser.
Hinzu kommt, dass die ca. 8000 € wirtschaftlich in keinem Verhältnis zur Mehrleistung stehen.

Also der R8 4.2 brachte im Supertest 2007 auf P Zero Corsa tatsächlich eine Zeit von 1:12,7 zu Stande! Es handelte sich sozusagen um den "Ur-R8" mit noch den 420PS, Handschalter und ohne dem magnetic-ride Fahrwerk (also das adaptive Dämpfersystem, was bedeutenden Einfluss auf die Fahrstabilität hat, wie der Test des V10 zeigte...). Allerdings waren Keramikbremsen verbaut, welche doch wohl eher auf der Nordschleife zur Geltung kommen...
@auditwaht stimmt, der langsamere Audi R8 mit 1.13,4 min war mit R tronic (nicht S tronic :-) kleiner Patzer eben). Der R8 war 2009 im Vergleich zum 997 Carrera S mit PDK (1.13,9 min). Beide Autos standen auf normalen Pirelli P Zero
R Tronic...mir ist kaum ein Test bekannt, welcher diesen Schaltautomat mit positiver Kritik begegnet ist...aber in absehbarer Zeit soll ja zusammen mit einem kleinen Facelift die S tronic eingeführt werden. Endlich!

Saurma damals ausdrückte...gemeint war das Lupfen des Fußes beim Gangwechsel...was möglicherweise "gewöhnliche" Autotester nicht sofort erkannten und deshalb auf komfortablere Gangwechsel verzichten mussten, was sich eben negativ auswirkt...
@auditwaht Wir haben gerade auch einen Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari mit Automatik da. Da fährst du auch so lupfend durch die Gegend. Wenn nicht, ist Kopfnicken à la R8 R tronic angesagt. Klar ist das Getriebe absolut hinter der Zeit!
