  • i just got wood

  • amazing live performance.

  • I'm Rolling Stones Gen and they aren't on Pearl Jam's level. The mid 90s was the last time I listened to the radio.Everything sucks after Pearl Jam, Sound Garden and Alice in Chains.

  • @mike8163 There is alot of good rock music made today that is not played on the radio...

  • 12 people wasted their lives

  • Vedder looks so good here. Much like the 90's Vedder.

  • Mike is so amusing! I don't know why but he always cracks me up!

  • PEARL JAM at Alpine Valley WI.....yiiihhhaaaaa

  • wow! what year is this? eddie looks like is 1992.

  • Sometimes I forget how short Eddie is

  • Wow,Arnold Schwarzenegger in the drums!

  • Dave used to have the best musicians on his show. Some great artists made their network TV debut on Late Night/Late Show. For the last few years now he has had a lot of mediocre indie bands that we have never heard from again. Plus he has Regis on singing sometimes! Yuk.

  • @humboldtus He still good bands on. Saw some this year. But yes, Regis makes me puke

  • :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • You can tell Mike likes to play this song! Rightfully so.

  • I have to agree with pridden76-Ed was extremely hot that year. I mean, he is still hot now, but that year was certainly a special one.

  • JESUS LOOKS LIKE EDDIE VEDDER !

  • @insaneinthebrain1978 I think you mean Eddie Vedder is Jesus! :D

  • even if he old now he still have high energy! eddie vedder is really awesome

  • Not on prime time til hotness and coolness were gone? What? They have been on letterman going back to No Code and I'm pretty sure before that.. They are still cool and still hot...boy PJ "fans" for lack of a better word are so critical...ikes..

  • eddie vedder is such an inspirational person

  • Pearl Jam = My generations Rolling Stones... Kick-ass rock-n-roll

  • @PalerLaze lmaoooooo

  • bet Eddie never cared for this kind of introduction!

  • My fav song on this album.

  • Can't find a Letterman!

  • @PalerLaze ha! awesome!

  • Dave Abbruzzese, legend hands down!...

  • @AllISawWasBlack I'm a big Dave fan,my fav PJ drummer,but being a great drummer doesn't make you a legend

  • @enwll3427 i 100% agree with that. matt really is a great drummer, but in my mind dave was always the one that fit pj's sound the best. i still love the new albums, i think theyd just be better with dave back. matt is soundgarden anyway.

  • idk. i was thinking my favorite pj stuff was old. ten vitology... lalala but ill be honest i cant even listen to that stuff now. and i if i do its the versions matt plays live. ill put my vote in for the newer shit.

  • @scoobylouis i think they have said that exact thing.

  • The best music video ever!

  • one of the best bands!!

  • I love Matt Cameron but you definitly hear the impact of Jack Irons on every album since he left Pearl Jam. Matt Cameron and Jack Irons are the two best drummers they have had ... although Dave Krusen did a stellar job on Ten.

  • @wpcooper1978 And what about Dave Abbruzzese? -.-

  • I miss Dave Abbruzeese

  • What I find amazing is that I've watched countless videos of Pearl Jam performances and I've NEVER seen a bad performance. Even with great vocalists, they have their off days, but with Eddie it's always perfect.

  • anyone seen iconoclasts with ed and liad hamilton there is a version of this but really slow and no drums, sounds like its on an organ

  • @johnkiedis27 that is actually on the album. I think it is called life wasted reprise. I think

  • @nousername976 thank you, finially found it at last

  • this song makes me want to go out and speartackle people.

  • lyrically amazing beneath the hard rockin

  • watch it in HD here

    watch?v=XQ3rshXmPNQ&fmt=22

  • Matt cameron good drummer

  • Man! The energy! True rock stars

  • Eddie was extremely hot this year...

  • ROCK GODS!!!!

  • FUCK IT!!! GRUNGE IS IMMORTAL!!!!!

  • at the begin, Mike McCready looks like a 9-10 years old kid with a toy guitar!

    lovely!*.*

and pealr jam is the best of the best!

  • @jomanu jajajajaaj si es cierto , es bonito cuando alguien se emociona a tal punto, es signo de que disfruta lo que hace: juega!

"yes that´s true, its nice to see somebody joyfull, stands for loving what they do" (sorry my bad english)

  • @notlhe81 jaja..yo tampoco hablo inglés, así que no hay problema!

    GRAANDE PEARL JAM MIEERDA!!

  • What I like about Pearl Jam, among having GREAT songs/song writing, I like that a LOT of times, they will produce their music on vinyl. MP3's & CD's are nice, but believe me back in the day, vinyl RULED!!! It's something about the warmth of sound that it can produce--and I believe the members of Pearl Jam grew up on that, so it makes perfect sense that they'd want to keep that going.

Great vid!!! Thanks for the post!!!

  • Eddie Vedder cada dia canta mejor....

  • Funny how Pearl Jam were a grunge band, but they are still awesome musicians. Not that that is normally not the case, but grunge was an offshoot of punk, and part of being grunge was not caring, so it's awesome that Pearl Jam didn't really fit that bill, and has such staying power, mostly due to their skill as musicians. I love Nirvana, but I don't think Kurt or Krist had the skill when it came to playing the guitar/bass--I personally think Dave Grohl was/is a really good drummer, though.

  • mccready reminds me of the kid in class who couldn't sit still. haha

  • Pearl jam is still good but man, they can never be better then they were on their first few albums back in the 90's. Thats when they were at their best.

  • Seriously, Matt Cameron's drum fill at 1:59 is just disgusting!

  • how i wish i was letterman just so i could watch all of these great groups everynight

  • Kurt chose death. Eddie chose life. and i'm so, so grateful he did so

  • @JackRaspin92 layne staley chose death to unfortunately. alot of talent gone and could of made some more awsome music. im grateful to for eddie being around to.. or i wouldnt have got to see pearl jam in hartford in 08. awsome show. keep on rockin in the free world. uncle neil. hahaha.

  • @JackRaspin92 Not sure he ever envisioned this kind of "success". I feel bad for them": hotness and coolness were gone before prime time tv started introducing them, boo-hoo!

  • @katiecoole101 good call - PJ would've ripped Letterman up in 92 era

  • @JackRaspin92 lol! I would enjoy every segment of it! Miss the early Pearl Jam!

  • @katiecoole101 i honestly envy people who were around during that time :p i mean i was born towards the end of 1992, so i experienced it all subconciously in the womb i guess :L

  • @JackRaspin92 I wouldn't call it as cool time ( in all honesty it wasn't), but that made PJ so vital, they were the Savior against stupid mediocrity ( could be now!)

  • @katiecoole101

yer DEAD wrong, their HOTNESS & COOLNESS is ABSOLUTELY unending...PJ is tried, tested & TRUE!!!

  • @davevan7 I do regret that comment. After all, PJ has been my sustienence all these years... i should be more of a loyal fan...

  • @katiecoole101

its ALL good, we still love u! : )

it's gonna be the BEST Labor Day EVER!!!

  • @katiecoole101 Cheers to that! Love and Eddie!

  • @JackRaspin92 eddie wasnt suicidal..

  • @JackRaspin92 so that would make him Alive! *zing*

  • @JackRaspin92 me too dude. me too. i don't know what i would do without pearl jam.

  • Best band ever

  • What year was this from?

  • @tthomaselli2 it was 2006

  • WTF happened to McCready?

  • @nofingerthumb What do you mean?

  • @tjittosz He looks like a fag :(

  • @nofingerthumb you look like a dumb fuck

  • @lumipifeslb Suck my balls ass hole

  • @nofingerthumb Balls?? You probably have a cunt instead!!!!

  • Best American Rock Band Period.

  • They sound amazing but i think everyone should take the time to look at the lyrics and see how fucking amazing they are then!

  • always amazed by how good eddie sounds live. on another note...we are so lucky to have lived through pearl jam. From there live shows to their completely generous release of material.

  • fucking pearl jam!!!!!! yay!!!! one of my fav bands ever!

  • Well Matt Cameron is pearl jam's official drummer, i don't think he's gonna be leaving anytime soon, but man that's gotta be rough touring with soundgarden and pearl jam, but it's fuckin awesome! haha

  • his voice is just insane....big smile on my face

  • who's PJ's drummer gonna be now that SoundGarden is reforming or is Matt Cameron gonna do double duty from here on out (a tall order to be sure)?

  • @g0ldbuG i thought the same thing. no way he could hold a tour schedule playing for 2 bands. at the very least, i'm glad soundgarden is back.

  • @g0ldbuG he plays with boot

  • Soundgarden wont last. The real question is can Chris Cornells voice keep up with Matt's drumming? No disrespect, I am a fan of both bands.

  • @SwayzeExpressTrain Well, let's be optimistic and hope they do...and for the sake of true music as well let's hope time is kind to Chris's once world-class vocal abilities.

  • life wasted great song!!!!

  • pearl jam are VERY rare in germany. I saw them in 2007 at southside. a dream!!! they were great!!! It would be a pleashure to see them again... i wait... (sorry, my english is ätsch ;o)

  • @TheLiaran21

Next they will be in summer 2010 in berlin, on June, 30th in "Wuhlheide" (never heard of it, but must be somewhere in berlin).

The ONLY concert here in germany this year, when I remember correctly. I also think very intensivly about a little travel to our capital this summer :)

  • @gktsosie1 The song is Life Wasted.

and he is dead on. Perfect.

  • what song is this?

  • life wasted.

  • Tremendous performance from Eddie and PJ!!

  • Eddie looks so thin here but sounds much better now.....

  • matt cameron, legend hands down !

  • @blackbear259 He's no DAVE A.

  • Jesus! Look at Stone busting those moves, man!

  • are you actually that stupid?

    or are you joking?

  • Vedder seems the lost son of Eric Clapton with that beard lol

  • what year is this? anyone?

  • probably 2006

  • good call

  • that drummer is amazing

  • His name is Matt Cameron best PJ drummer ever.

  • not yet the best of PJ.. he s the best in world's music.. along with the guy from FF

  • abbruzesse is much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much better

  • Eddie looks so god!

  • actually, he looks a lot more look god's son, jeebus.

  • he has my fav vioce

  • Best All American Rock Band Ever!

  • @slickcross 'all american'? lol

  • @lxvlx Yeah. Like I said. All american. For instance. Metallice. Kirk Hammet is Half Irsih and Half Philipino. Pearl Jam is Allamerican. They are all american and there parents are all America. Thats what i meant. They are the Best All American Band.

  • @slickcross racist. who cares bout countrys when the music is this great? besides no american is all american cept native americans...

  • @slickcross Ever heard about the fucking DOORS?!

  • @Profy00 The Doors are a bunch of crack heads. They suck ASS! They sound like a sleazy Las Vegas, washed up, crack band.

  • @slickcross Ok... I didn't know there was someone who didn't like the Doors...

How about Creedence Clearwater Revival? Black Sabbath?

  • @Profy00 u just met one friend and there are plenty of others who have an opinion. Not everyone in the whole damn world is gonna like the same music as u! CC and BS are good. As a musicians who play pretty much every instrument, the doors music is pretty week musically. Rush, Dream Theater, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Pearl Jam, Hendrix, Led Zep, AD/DC. Now those are real musicians

  • @slickcross Are you fucking kidding me? Do you really believe the best music comes from the technique? Real Music comes from the soul, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin are definitely two greaat examples but Steve Vai? Joe Satriani? They may know a lot about how to play a guitar but there's no feeling to it!

  • @slickcross Ok. DUDE. the Doors wern't about being primo at their instruments. "THEY GOT THE GUNS BUT WE GOT THE NUMBERS" thats good shit. and if you say your a fan of REAL music and cant see that. then wake the fuck up.

  • @muzicsalesman Ur a dumb ass u know that. Dont argue with a musician about music loser. I play 8 instruments, recorded 4 albums, produced 2, managed 3 bands, ect. I have a argument moron and i know what im talking about. I respect Jim Morrison as a song writer and poet but i really dont give props to The Doors as a talented musical rock band. Thats my opinion and theres hundreds of people that would disagree and agree with me.

  • @slickcross ooooo 8 instruments huh? who gives a fuck. im a musician too. oh and chill out man... your the one who said they "SUCK ASS!" are washed up and a crack band... then i say they were more about the lyrics's and now im a dumbass loser? haha. get a life homeslice.

  • Great!!!!

  • Eddie Vedder for president

    Mike McCready for God

...well, until the fixer came out...

  • LOL!

  • How do you mean? before the The Fixer haha

  • if the guys play it live i think its theirs if not, ill agree with you.

the song is very radio friendly...

  • Matt Cameron composed the entire song, The Fixer.

  • There it is... the depraved music of a lost generation.

  • standard please ive got a long way to drive seriously

  • Love them!!!

  • good song very catchy and also thats a good album too

  • what makes em wonderful is that they are real

  • thank you pearl jam ur origanal

  • While driving home from Ramone's funeral, Vedder wrote the lyrics for the Pearl Jam song "Life Wasted" (from Pearl Jam).

  • greatest band to see live, i've seen them only twice sadly, but it was like being on a crazy wild trip the whole time, experience it if you haven't yet!
