  • Such a handsome boy and full of life , even with his disability. I hope you got another Weim, they are the best dogs in the world. Thanks for trying to save him, cancer sucks.

  • Just shows how weims have such a great appreciation for life. Ben looks like a great guy

  • B-E-A-U-TIFUL.

  • I was heartbroken to read your comment to me. Skip is 10 now and though he still acts like a puppy, I know "that day" is closer and it saddens me to know that someday my buddy will be gone. Like I said, your a good owner and should you get another Weimaraner, he/she will be a very lucky dog to have you as it's "human". Take care - Patrick.

  • I smiled when I saw this. Some folks might have had him put down due to the cost.I love my weimaraner Skip and would do the same for him. You are a good owner and friend to your companion..My prayers for his health.

  • Thanks for the kind comment and for viewing the video.

  • what a shame they disabled the audio for this video... I've watched this video a few times and Bridge Over Troubled Water was a perfect song to go with the visuals. Lost my own weimaraner last month... we're heartbroken

  • What a beautiful weim Ben is!!! God bless Ben!

  • what a good boy :-)

  • Three of my Weims are now running with Ben at the Rainbow bridge. God bless.

  • mans best friend.

  • a beautiful dog this made me cry bless ben x

  • Dogs always teach us lessons. As you can see in this video, a dog like Ben doesn't whine or bemoan his lost leg, he adapts, overcomes and keeps on living life. His tail was still high, he still did the happy pant while exploring and jogging.

  • Very true, he enjoyed every day and adapted to life on three legs with ease. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to comment and viewing the video.

  • bless ben!

  • Hi. I m from GER. lost my Weim last year (10.March) in the age of 18 (!). My comment: do not feat him to much. give him only the feat he really need. not more. belevie me: my weim had arthrose for the last 7 years - but she could walk. The weight could be the only problem for your boy. Peter.

  • I'm originally from Los Angeles, but was living and working in Bath when I was diagnosed with stage IV rhabdomyosarcoma in 2006. I'm currently back in CA under massive treatment, struggling to get back to the UK, where I can walk my dog in the beautiful feilds again. so your video resonated with me and inspired me in numerous ways. thank you deeply for making it.

  • Thanks for taking the time to view the video, wishing you all the best with the treatment, my thoughts are with you.

  • Our best to Ben, weims are the greatest...

  • we have a weim, too! :) seeing ben up and about and being a weim brings tears to my eyes. i wish him many many years of health and happiness!!!

  • It must have been so hard for you, but, as you've shown, he looks so well and he seems to be relishing every second and it's clear that you love him dearly. It was a real pleasure to watch this video, wishing you many happy days together and the best of luck.

    Fynnchop.

  • What a great boy! How wonderful to celebrate him by a video where he is most happy. We too had a Weimaraner, Chris with osteosarcoma in the same leg. We know. May Ben be with you for as long a possible. Enjoy!

  • Wow, He is so beautiful and strong! I understand your worry and great fullness for every day that you get with him. Our chocolate lab was diagnosed with the exact same tumor in his rear leg at 6yrs and we chose to have it removed instead of him removed from our lives. We posted a video also check it out!!! Its called three is the magic number... They are so much stronger and appreciative of life then we are... Thanks for sharing I loved it! Good luck.

  • Thanks Bruce, the three B's rule.

    Ben

  • Nice to see my friend in action I always enjoy my time with Ben in the fields. We still patrol every where together and look after our old partner Barney.

    See you again on Monday.

    Bruce the Boxer Dog

  • what a brave boy, he is coping remarkably well given what he has been through. You must be very proud, i wish you both luck.
