Elohim can be used as a general term for God in the O.T.. For example Samuel was called a Elohim when he came up from the dead (1 Sam.28:13-14) In Ex. 7:1 Moses was made an Elohim to Pharaoh. @megametal777 No brother, there is no hadith that mentions Jesus to have been replaced by another human being of his likeness and that Jesus was lifted physically up to heaven. According to the Quran and hadiths of Holy Prophet (pbuh), Jesus (as) was a prophet for Bani Israel and he has passed away like all other prophets. As I said earlier, hadiths do talk about the coming Messiah who had to be given the title of Jesus because of his likeness with him in his mission and circumstances.

The word Elohim can also be used for one person of the godhead or all three since they all share in the commonality of that eternal essence of deity. According to the Quran and hadiths of Holy Prophet (pbuh), Jesus (as) was a prophet for Bani Israel and he has passed away like all other prophets. As I said earlier, hadiths do talk about the coming Messiah who had to be given the title of Jesus because of his likeness with him in his mission and circumstances.
