  • I got some mr colour paint and how come it looks so transparent on the model?

  • I thought Model Master was a sub-division of Testors paint.... says so, more like hints it in the Testors website paint list.

  • can we use normal painting paint

  • where you buy all those paints i want to paint my gundam but have no paint help me out

  • how do you wash the brushes when you use enamal because the hair of my brush is really stiff. Also what type of brush do you use for enamals

  • Personally, I'm going to use Games workshop paint, it's acrylic, and I dont know if I should use water or alcohol. There are other you tubers, like fl1pme1ster and they use water to thin it in one of their videos. Should i test it with both? or just go use water ti thin it?

  • I have a question. Can you line a gundam with a skinny sharpie?

  • @gheith001 can but theirs a risk of it being the type of plastic that the sharpies will eat away at

  • @Zer0megaXX too late :) thanks anyway.

  • were can i get gundam markers do they have them at hobby town

  • @IPRANKTheFool You can get them online...

  • hey vegeta8259, how do you get rid of the enamel smell on the parts after you paint it?

  • @onelasttitan my dad painted some cabinets with enamel spray paint and leaving it outside in the sun for a day to air-out got rid of 80% of the smell. It will probably just fade over time, you definitely don't want to leave plastic in the sun cause It might warp the parts but thats common sense. I haven't used enamel paint on any of my kits, so my advise isn't entirely valid, but good luck!

  • @dippydawg827 thanks, i left the parts near my open window and the smell got better :D

  • great video bro but i hate your camera it never stays in focus

  • do you even use primary paint even if you are hand brushing? What color do you prefer? do you use enamel paint on your panel lining? What kind of paint do use when you are panel lining? Pls. reply ASAP if you have time by any chance.

  • I NEED HELP

i just got some mr.color paints i read a lot online that it could be thin with any hard ware store paint thinner i tried painting a couple of pieces earlier today and the first piece just came out bad im pretty sure it was the thinner and it made the paint all hard and the paint dries to fast i want to know what thinner should i get a brand would be good to know and what can i get to make the paint dry slower thank ya

  • @thalunizz21 Mr Color will thin with rubbing alcohol. Get some 91% Isopropyl alcohol. That should work fine.

  • Hey! so um Ive decided to detail my gundams with paints instead of using the stickers but can someone clarify for me about "thinning the paint"? like im a bit confused....like am i suppose to mix the paint (lets just say im using tamiya) with the alcohol in a plate and then i start painting? and the paint thinner is used to clean the brushes right?

  • BTW, Mr. Color, unless it is the Aqueous series, which are not as easily available, at least not in San Francisco, CA are lacquer based. There are also Tamiya enamel based. It is best to always read the labels.

  • what time take u to build a 1 RG kit because i am thinking o buy a RG

  • does the enamel paint smell?

  • @alexanderthegrea5133

it smells a bit funky when first opened, but you get used to it fast

  • If you actually thin your acrylic paints down then you won't have that brush stroke trouble.

  • I occationally got clear paint on my brushes and yeah it thins with water

  • i use automotive thinner found in any automotive paint shoppe..here in our country they let you have only the amount you need...like i provide a 1liter glass bottle then they just fill it up with corresponding price..its like a dollar for a liter..and also..choose between..acrylic,enamel,lacquer,urethane thinners..and they do the job excellently on any paint..its more affordable than those hobby branded ones and also more effective since its used for thicker automotive paints

  • i see^_^ here is the hand brushing^_^,.

  • I have some normal paint lieing around could i use those.

The kinda you would use at a kindergarden?

  • Which tamiya gray will match up with the gundam gray?

  • A good trick for steadying your hands when you're trying to work: hold the part with one hand, the brush with the other - and press your hands together at the wrists... I think it helps because you can feel the one hand moving with the other, it provides a comfortable frame of reference or something. Anyway, it's really helpful sometimes.

  • Glad to see you doing these videos again! They're inspirational.

  • Btw Mr. Hobby is acrylic. Mr. Color is lacquer

  • I want to see spray painting the armor pcs.~

  • If you don't mind me asking, what do you do for a living?? You know a -lot- about modeling. Do you work at a hobby shop or something? Or did you pick up all this as you went along?

  • hav u ever though about dyeing the plastic instead of painting them?

  • hey man hope you show some weathering tips down the line really like the way you do edges but cant get it right.

  • Great info on the paints!

  • do you use an airbrush?

  • Hey vegeta, I love your reviews:D

    But i have a question...

What does the scouter say about his powerlevels?

  • where did you get the paint thinner? that big a bottle

  • does testors silver dull out if u rub it alot?

  • I have really shaky hands cos of Cartilage problem :c what's the best way to paint small parts because I am only just able to paint larger parts with my hands.

  • Waterslide would be nice. On my Titans Mk-II 2.0 Limited the Waterslide decals were not on very well.

  • do a spray painting tut for the armor

  • @WalkThroughMaster100 part 4 is

  • I hope you are not going to repaint also that armor. After all it has multiple colors in it that makes it far more better looking than just plain white armor.

  • @Mecha82, never said I was gonna paint all the armor white...

  • mr. color drys on your brush almost instantly

  • @vultwaz Not if you thin it with "Mr. Color Leveling Thinner", or add a Retarder. It allows to hand brush the lacquer and level out the brush strokes nicely.

  • from my experience i believe tamiya paint better than mr color.. great vids. i hope you do more of these to help out other gunpla builders

  • where did you get the tiny pinstripping brush?

  • @kraahkanaKOROGOV94 he said at a hobby store like hobby lobby

  • can you please do spraypainting please

  • @pattyboy1001 in the part 04 he did spraypainting

  • @UlrichVIII I know.....I want more of it

  • @pattyboy1001 Lol, you just cant get enough lol jk. hehe he has a older one video on spraypainting that he talks about and it's very detailed

  • @Kelrentor ya I know that I subbed to vegeta when he had like 200 subs...........Sadly a couple of them got removed.....so I would like to request newer ones from him!!!!

  • @pattyboy1001 Part 4

  • @Kelrentor I know I wnat more of it

  • i would like to know how to do water slide decals cause i don't know how to do them

  • I'd like to see a video of painting the armor. And I've always wondered whether or not you use a top coat. And as mentioned, more videos = more enjoyable time. Thanks!

  • Do you happen to have an airbrush?

  • how come you like to paint a lot of your models?

  • @AsianMonkeez cause he likes to make his kits look the best they possibly can be =)

  • I'd like to see you paint the armor.

  • Hey Vegeta where can you find Tamiya paint? I don't think any of the hobby stores by me carry it. Oh and please show how to paint the outer armor.

  • @Akiraofthewind alot of stores carry them. there should be in any hobby or model stores.

  • As much as I love Gundam altogether, I always hated how fucking stupid and impractical this color scheme was. The Zakus was an olive green, that makes sense. But these colors just fill me with a rage.

  • Paint the outer armor plz

  • Tamiya's clear colors (red, blue, green, yellow) are soluble with water - and I find I have better control when using water with them as opposed to Tamiya's acrylic thinner.

Haven't tried alcohol with those, as I mainly use it to clean my brushes or my hands after painting, or to strip certain acrylics.

  • Hey, good tips on paint. I noticed you used you little finger as you did the detailing. Do you find that it helps to steady your hand when detail painting by using you finger as a kind of rest?

    Thanks for you help.

  • Wait. I thought Mr. Color was lacquer based and Mr. Hobby was acrylic based?

  • @Gomenchaiii Same company, mr.hobby is just generalized for everything they sell, which is masking tape, paints, paint brushes, sanding paper ETC... They sell lacquer and acrylic paints.

  • i will admit that it does somewhat look like pg RX-78 since im looking at him right now. do you know if there coming out with a chars zaku II rg?

  • if you are keeping the multi tone color scheme then show us. i would like to see how you plan on pulling it off.

  • Hey Vegeta, when I used to live in ATL, I used to get my Mr. Color paints and thinner in Marietta, at AAA Hobby (google it). Great little, locally owned hobby shop with good selection of paints, no need to drive to Kennesaw ;)

  • Thanks for the great tips and pointers!

  • I don't know what hobbytown you go to, but the one up in Kennesaw has mr color. Probably a bit longer of a drive, but worth it in my opinion.

  • please show us u spraypainting cuz youtube fked us over with kampfer

  • Can you do a panel lining tutorial

  • im a beginner but wat does thinner do?

  • @Blackslash506 makes the paint not as thick as the name implies and makes it easier to brush on thinner layers which helps reduce the number of brush marks

  • hey vegeta can you do a tutorials on sanding because when i sand things down they usually have swirl marks and they are really annoying as i want to perfect my gundam models.

  • are you going to paint the outer armor so that it still has the separate colors? because if you don't, i think it would partially defeat the purpose of buying the real grade, since one of its selling points was the different colors

  • can u do a detailing tutorial vid? ...that could really help me!!!!

  • Do an armour "Let's Paint" please. We got screwed out of the Kempfer one ;)

  • Quick question, is the armor easily removable?

  • how exactly do you use the thinner?

  • waterslide

  • It's definitely not redundant, more video's = more enjoyable time. You should really do a panel lining tutorial on painted parts before you do water decals aswell, people always have questions about that.

  • @6MetaL6Core6, I usually do panel lines after decals, so I'll definitely do a tutorial for those as well

  • do a water slide decal one:p

  • @b111000 Yes, water slide info would be greatly appreciated.

  • water slide please
