Well, I must say that Foshang traditional martial arts are not actually for self defense, but for destroying you enemy... I think one of the few styles which could be considered self defense could be Ching Na or even Fok Fu Kuen. due to the heavy grapple and joints twisting, don't know... Maybe I'm just wrong, but hurting people is not good.
he drag his rear leg..2 he dont hit with his arms,he just push.3 he dont kik with his leg,he just raise the leg.4.his fingers are straight and opened-so they will easily can be broken.5.he always repeat the same movements.6.sometimes he just walk between a change in moving.7.he have no coordination,or symmetry,or balance at all .if you need more reasons, just ask me again
7. Last two statements show your an idiot. No other explanation. He is obviously moving quite fluidly with extreme force. I think you are just a hater who believes Bruce Lee's make believe world where he choreographed everything.
4. His palms are opened during palm strikes and blocks to let the chi flow for the exercise. Keep in mind the dragon uses it's claws for vital strikes, pressure points, and grappling.
5. In a martial arts form you repeat movements. It is called muscle memory. It helps so you don't have to be curled up in a ball on the floor with your opponent thinking about what you should do.
1. Haven't you heard of the third leg of kung fu. Drag and release at full power.
2. Pushes can be very powerful. Look at tai chi. A push can be used to open up an opponent. Do you know anything about fighting?
3. Most street fighting uses low kicking in closed combat situations. Also used for a sneak move to close in, lock the knee, trip up an opponent, kick the base of an opponent to bring them to the ground.
@oferiko777orka Sounds like you don't know a thing about dragon style. If you did then you would understand the applications of his movements and not be judging him on how cool he looks.
Less movement, more power...Very good display of Lung Ying skill! I understand that Foshan Lun Ying uses larger movements, then the Lam family Lung Ying, other then that the systems show their differences, and similarities...peace
certain styles people are prone to use agility and being agile. so they can easily evade a submsission. submission fighter moves are actually dealy because in real fights they can choke u or break ur leg or arm.
Very interesting. Seemed a little jerky but the fists look absolutely brutal. I can't say that I know anything about Dragon style in particular. Interesting video though.
This dude versus K1? This dude. He obviously has very disciplined technique which I give the edge every time.
I've said this a million and one times b4 but, when it comes to fighting a real martial artist or a street fighter, ju-jitsu, wrestling, bjj, it's all useless. But, only bc as ur trying to do some needlessly complicated hold or submission the guy could hit u in the nuts, pull ur hair, scratch u, wtv. It's gay but their r no rules on the streets.
That is illegal in the ring match. What I am talking about is a fight show that has only 4 laws in a fight: no scratching, no nut kicking, no biting, and no pulling hair from the opponent. For example, UFC is the best martial art of all times because of Bruce Lee's philosophy that has changed the modern style of fighting. That is why it's called, "Mix Martial Art" lmao!
@KevinVang1000 Hm... I seem to have missed the joke. What good is a fighting style tht has limits? Although there r great Mma fighters who would b willing to say fuck the rules in a street fight. The ones who don't could end up on their knees holding their nuts.
-Btw Bruce Lee is one of the greatest fighters>I agree with you on that.
@KevinVang1000 Also, UFC was founded upon Grappling by the gracie family. As such rules favor grappling in many ways still to this day. Originally the rules favored grappling and gracie's made the UFC to prove to other styles that theirs is somehow the best in REAL scenarios although UFC is far from a real scenario.
Albeit has merit as a full contact sparring ring, no street fight is going to stay on the ground more than 15-30 seconds. someones friend is going to stomp a head/pull knife/etc
I understand when it comes to a street fight, but still...you will ruin the game and it's not cool. It's like this: The audience doesn't want a fag fight show (Testi-fights) since they want a fight that deals with manhood instead of a lame fight...do u get it?
@kinjk yah i know what u meen but i do mma and u have a better chance of beating your opponent if you do mma or any other type of martial arts or whatever u do.
@Legomania2000 Dont get up with Style worship, just take what works from other styles and methods of fighting, there is no best style, only best fighters, cheers mate, good luck with your training.
@KevinVang1000 until your eyes are gouged out, our windpipe is squeeze with even a small amount of force.. not a choke, someone simply poking their finger in or grasping with as little as two fingers your actual trachea
when blood is dripping into your lungs it is more difficult to continue grappling
this is the purpose of the dragons claw, gouging and ripping. throat and eyes are easiest targets in street defense against a careless attacker
@katsura1982 Empty forms are learned first because the weapon is an extension of ur body. you have to learn to control ur body before learning to control a weapon.
Just because guys fight for sport doesn't mean they don't have traditional training.
There is even a vid of WWE werstler Bautista doing knife drills on here.
Look it up ;)
I'm not properly trained at all but by lookin at his fists, a pair of Kamas, hatchets or knives with blade down would be pretty lethal ;)
This is classic real Dragon Style, I met Sifu Yip Wing HOng in New York City who teaches authentic Dragon style, this form is definetely of his lineage
I'd love to see this cat in a fight. Sometimes when you see fist sets it's like "I don't know about that...", but you can see some intent with this guy.
you know there is a lot of theory and no practice. in my minds eye i know whats up but, to tell it to other people i say imagine him fighting somebody like de la hoya or even someone in golden gloves
Wow! Really good! Always nice to see an actual fighting form!

Hmm, the dragon use their hammer-fist to fight their opponent. Interesting for an MMA...

@KevinVang1000
Funny you say that, I love using hammer fists like these or neck chops like in wing chun.
You can generate a lot of force with those hammer fists and all you need to do is connect with tip of the opponents chin and it's lights out!
