  • I think that miracles are matters of the heart. We can only see this, when we begin to think clearly. Yet we can only think clearly, when we attend to the matters of the heart. This isn't linear learning (like what we did from grade school on up), and it takes "risk." Perhaps this is why the first "light" or step in deepening faith, is to take that "leap" of faith. Happy Chanukah

  • Yea, miracles are something we WANT to believe in because they make us feel better about ourselves (family member's deaths, our own inevitable deaths and an afterlife). Too bad there is not one single piece of evidence for these miracles. It sounds so lovely, nice and poetic, but the truth isn't always so lovely, nice and poetic. Beliefs such as these threaten our intelligence.

  • @HippieDrummer06 Your whole life is a miracle.

  • @HippieDrummer06 I understand the difficulty in believing in that which you have not seen. But, if your comment is simply aimed at no evidence for any miracle - my existence is evidence for you. I am the recipient of such a miracle, as my eyesight was restored to me when multiple specialists told me there was no hope. A last round of testing before surgery proved them wrong - my sight was restored 20/20 - still to this day 23 years later. They even confessed, it was a miracle.

  • Very well put.. "miracles also grow from the human heart" YES.
