It really fascinates me that around this time there were no computers and that animations like these used about 4 - 5 animators. Seriously the old cartoons like these move so fluent and smooth, the crap like Johnny Test seems so stiff compared to the hand made animations from the golden age.

@rickylascaze001 You're right. These old Disney animated shorts were made to show in the theaters, like the old Tom & Jerry cartoons. Hence the quality. "Johnny Test", meanwhile, is meant for viewing only once on TV (and that is if people don't have anything better to do.)

Relax.

At current time, Disney Animation plans to make BOTH CGI films as well as hand-drawn films. (There is a hand-drawn Winnie-the-Pooh film in the works)

It is unfair to expect Disney Animation to ONLY make hand-drawn films, that would be imposing a certain technolgy on the studio, and Walt Disney was a fan of innovation.

As long as the stories are strong (and they have been lately) then the animation medium doesn't matter. :-)

@jwbstudios Or at least what it should still ACT like. The REAL problems with animation these days is subject matter, they all just try too hard to be edgy and such and it comes off humiliating to the legacies of these beloved studios(in the cases of Disney and WB).

EXAMPLES: Clock cleaners, The origanal was a cartoon but the short versoin is a half musical, Early to Bed, Donald fighting his alarm clock is haliourus but they cut so they could save time so Hannah Montana could start on time :-(
