  • @lbizzythefire Well dude I got the email showing what comment you made and I'm sad you removed it. It's funny how that guy just keeps talking trash. He talks crap but yet he still keeps coming back to my videos. I should thank him for the views. Either way I blocked the guy because I'm tired of his negativity. Thanks for the back up, sometimes I need help dealing with the idiots. The ones that are a horrible representation of the gun community. Take care brother.

  • glad police carry these xd's cause they suck

  • OMG IT'S AN IMITATION GLOCK!! with shiny mags that aren't polymer coated like glock and give ur position away...cool and springfield has had to copy. Mr. Gaston Glock had no experience making firearms unti lhe made the glock 17 in the late 80's...and springfield has had yrs experience but had to copy and add a shitty handle safety that may fuck you in a high stress situation...lol enjoy xd fagets

  • Thank you so much for making review and critical videos of products without constantly saying "UHH... Umm.. Ya Know" etc etc... Your videos are interesting, educational, and not painful to watch/listen to. You should instruct youtube video making to help others not suck so badly. Great job, keep up the sharp work!

  • Great review. Thanks for using the OD green for contrast.

  • I have a XD 5inch dark earth.I went with the Houge....very happy with the fit and was easy to put on! Thanks for the review!

  • The Pachmayr grips are good on My Glock 19. I did not like the hogue grips on my Glock.

  • @swiftcoyote does the pachmayr grip glove move left to right on you or do the front slots for the finger grooves keep it in place? I tried hogue but they moved around and rotated on me constantly.

  • @TheNopedawg The pachmayr grips don't move around. There are cutouts for the finger grooves and they're sized for individual models.

  • Awesome gun! Love the whole xd/xdm series! Have my next purchase narrowed to the XD 45 or G33... leaning toward the xd. Good review ill sub!

  • Nice video. Thanks for the info. Do you know if the hogue grip will fit my XD 45?

  • @ramar15dti Huh, I don't know for sure. I know the specific one I have now was nearly impossible to get on. If the XD45 is the same size as my XD9 then you should have no problems.

  • @ramar15dti

The Hogue grip will not work on the XD45 because the handle is to large. Knowing that the Pachmyr is loose on the XD9 then it should fit snugger on the XD45 and not move as much. I think i'm goint to order the Pachmayr and see if it works.

  • @ramar15dti first grip u mentioned doesnt last to long. mine ripped just shortly after one year of use

  • Thanks

  • springfield xd 45 13+1 black slide with dark earth polymer frame and a pachmayr grip.....that thing is fucking sexy i was gonna buy another 1911 chamberd in 38 super, but after seen this im sold on the xd i owned this same exsact 1 but in two tone i traded it to a buddy for a ar15, i miss the hell out of my xd. i want the pachmayr grip i had one on my glock 22 and glock 20 they worked fine for me

  • great review man, i was thinking about getting the same model gun as you, aand i was wondering how much did yours cost? if u dont mind me asking

  • @Shiftyyxx I get mine from a dealer that's a family friend, so he doesn't charge more to make a profit. I think after the cost of the gun and shipping it was around 450 dollars, I'm not positive though it was so long ago.

  • @Shiftyyxx bout 600 but go with glock if u want quality.. as xds are copies of glocks with a shitty extra handle safety that may cost you in a high stress situation and shiny mags that niggers like which give ur position away

  • @86turkishman The quality of my XDm is just as superior as the quality of my Glocks. You sir, by no means should even be near a firearm. You are the prime example of what gives responsible gun owners a bad name. Gun control is needed in your house...that's for sure. Go crawl back into your hole. I wouldn't doubt seeing your mug on the nightly news for a mass killing spree.

  • @FireFighter0254 Well I'm happy to see that other people think this guy is as dumb as I do. I don't know how I haven't blocked him by now. It's not worth the wasted space on my comments. I shouldn't let it fill up with negative comments, especially from someone as one minded as this moron. Thanks for the back up, the dude has been blocked.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ Yep, he's blocked on my end also, got tired of listening to his warped mind. He seriously has mental issues and anger problems. He's a ticking timb bomb IMHO!

  • @86turkishman what the fuck u mean niggers u fuckin homo butt fuckin bitch i bet ur mom and dad are brother an sister

  • I have the black hogue for my xd45 and love the feel, however I have a OD XD w/ stainless slide. I saw that Hogue has an OD grip; have you tried it for color match on your XD?

  • @japryor Yeah man the Hogue grips are excellent. The only problem I had with mine is it covers up the FDE of my XD. I recently cut some traction tape for my XD which looks freakin awesome. It adds a lot of grip to the pistol without covering up the the pistols color. I didn't even know that Hogue made an OD Green grip, about time. Do you know if Hogue make a FDE rubber grip??? Sorry I couldn't answer your question.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ Just ordered the OD XD Hogue grip from Optics Planet. I currently have the universal black Hogue on my XD and it covers the grip safety (not a big deal really), but I hope the color match is closer. I should have it on next week...I'll let you know how it goes.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ they make FDE color hogue rubber slip on

  • @sniper4usmc Yeah but I believe that's a newer product from Hogue. All that was available when I bought mine was black unfortunately. It doesn't matter either way because I custom cut traction tape for grip and it looks great. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll definitely keep that in mind. Take care.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ Just got the OD Green XD grip from CTD. The color match is perfect! I previously had a generic Hogue HandAll black grip. I prefer the feel of this grip over the XD specific grip. I think this is because the generic grip does not have a rubber tab that inserts into the bottom of the pistol near the mag well; this allows you to move the grip up and down to fit your hand best. I'll try to post a vid of the OD green grip.

  • @japryor Oh really, that's actually really nice to know. I'm in the process of buying the XD40 in OD Green from a friend of mine, the one I've reviewed on my channel. I can't seem to find the OD grip on CTD. If you have the time could you send me the link to it so I can check it out. I wouldn't mind buying it and checking it out. Thanks for the update man, I'll be waiting for that link.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ Sorry, my bad, it wasn't CTD, it was OpticsPlanet. I can't post a link in YouTube's comments, so I'll try to message you. I'll also try to do a vid of the black Hogue HandAll and the OD Hogue XD grip and upload this weekend so you can see the difference.

  • @japryor First off, thanks a ton for sending me that link to the rubber grip. As soon as an agreement is reached on price and the OD Green XD40 is in my hand I'll be buying that grip. I'm guessing they make one in FDE as well, if so I'll probably buy that too. It would be really cool if you did a comparison video to show the difference between the two. Thanks again man, I really appreciate the help. Let me know if there is ever anything you need.

  • That goes for anybody., go to my page and shoot me a message., i do very professional stippling on anything polymer. pistols, rail covers, etc, and am a certified gunsmith and army veteran, prices are very good., hit me up

  • dude get in touch with me if you want that thing stippled, on the xd i only do it wheres its already done, two sides and front and backstraps., looks great and adds alot more grip , because these are alittle slick ., send me a message if your interested, ive already done several xd's and my own which is also FDE.,

  • @MultiSr16 You know I'll agree with you that the XD's can be slick. I just went and shot mine and found when your hands get a little sweaty the XD gets a little slippery to hold. I think I might do a traction tape job on my XD in the future. Like I said before stippling is a little to permanent for. I like that I can take off the traction tape if I don't like it. Once again thanks for the offer, I really do appreciate it.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ yea they are., use the tape like you said or the bands off the fug work great too, you can see em if you pull up a picture of the fug on larues website, you have to call and ask for em if you want em seperate though, theyll sell em seperate if you call.., ohh and i hear the grip tape works pretty good on the slide as well.., havent tried it yet though

  • Great video! I dont know if you know of ranger bands or not. If you dont there basicly a rubber band on steroids. All they are is a bike innertube. Anyways I cut one to size and slid it on my glocks, it works great, grips well, stays in place, and when the tire poped it didnt cost me a dime. Thanks for these other suggestions!

  • @evankoeve You know I've never heard of a ranger bands before. Sounds like a nice cheap way to get a rubber grip on your pistol. That's something to keep in mind when a intense SHTF/WROL situation happens. Come to think of it I bet a bicycle tube could be used in many situations for many things. Might be a good addition to a Bug Out Bag. You should really do a video of the ranger bands; I guarantee that hasn't been seen on YouTube.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ Ive only seen one or two videos on youtube about them.. I'd love to put videos on youtube but I dont have a camera for it. I'm not to good with the computer so my son or daughter would need to put it up for me. If you want to look at the video type in.. "Ranger band- urban survival" into youtubes search bar. He is a guy from canada who preps aswell. Envirosponsible is his channel

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ you can get these "rubber bands" you guys are talking about from larue tactical, they come with theyre FUG grip but are available seperate., theyre great on pistols, knives, tape switches, etc

  • @MultiSr16 Oh nice, I'll check out Larue's webpage right now. So youre a certified gunsmith? Looks like I'll be talking to you a lot in the future. I'm always looking for advice and it would be nice to get it from a gunsmith. I'm looking to get a new gun with my tax return and I'm thinking about a 1911. I don't want to spend a crap ton on one. Thinking a lower end model like a Taurus or Rock Island Armory and then adding mods slowly myself. What's our thoughts on those models of 1911 and plan?

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ best bang for the buck 1911,blued springfield GI 1911, they got em on impactguns for 550, they say there out of stock but they can get you one in about 2 wks, great guns and looks like you like the springfields.. id stay away from the taurus1911, nowhere near the springfield to me.., yep, i am, got certified on alot of different models in 06-07, i need to get alot more, but jus been busy,im in MD,got out the army in 04, im 30 yr old white guy any questions hit me up...

  • @MultiSr16 Yeah I've had a few people recommend the Springfield GI model. I'm guessing I'll be going with that if I decide to get a 1911. Someone told me I should just build a 1911, that their just as easy to build as an AR. I have some time until my tax return shows up so If you have any other guns in mind that would be a cool next purchase please let me know.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ ehhh , they are easy to build, but for 550, you cant beat the springfield, and you couldnt build one that nice for 550, so if you want a 45., thats what id get., looks like you got the other calibers covered already with xd's., i say keep it in the family and go with the springfield 1911., dunno bout you.but my next purchase will be a kel-tec ksg ahhah, look it up on youtube, it was jus announced at shotshow., its SICKKK., and i jus got done a block2 ar build from DD/BCM

  • @MultiSr16 Thanks for the advice, looks like I'll be getting the Springfield GI if i decide to get a 1911. Yeah man the Kel-Tec KSG looks INSANELY SICK. Trust me I saw that shotgun the second it hit youtube on Kel-Tec's and GunWebsites channel. You know that thing is going to be near impossible to get. Kel-Tec already has problems keeping up with supply and demand... this shotgun is going to be harder than hell to find in stock.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ yea they do have issues with actually gettin the guns out to the public., i agree., but at 26.5 inch overall length and 15 rds., haha i gotta have it., im picturing that thing with a magpul rvg vert grip and like a eotech xps or a insight mrds., and damn, its like a short barrel shotgun for christ sake., imma have to find someone who will take a pre-order or somethin., and its got good barrel length so range is prob great with slugs., damn, a bullpup 12 gauge ,great idea

  • Do you have an XDM to try those grips on? I am thinking of getting one for my 9mm 3.8 XDM because I don't seem to get a godo grip on it even with the the smaller backstrap.

  • @CodeKiLLa26 Sorry we don't have a XDM in the headquarters. My fellow MYTHr has the XD40 but no XDM. I will say the grips are cheap enough where you might want to just buy one and see how it fits. It's around 15 dollars and if it helps you get a positive grip on your gun it's well worth it.

  • @86turkishman You Glock guys are so rediculous. Youre dumb enough to think that your gun is the only efficient gun in the world. I do own a Glock but I like to expand my collection, if thats something you can comprehend. Not just stick to one gun and knock everyone elses. Youre probably one of those idiots that tries to compare an AR to an AK, and thinks one is the best. There are crap tons of people that could out shout you with an XD, Rob Leatham comes to mind. Its the shooter not the gun.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ lol what an idiot, I can promise you not all glock guys are like that he just wrecks it for the rest of us

  • @evankoeve Yeah I know. I woudn't say I'm a "glock guy" but I do own one and as you can see I don't think that way. I know he's an anomaly, one that makes the rest of us look bad.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ nobody said it was the best but certainly surpasses the fuckin xd that is a copy of glock moron...gaston glock had no xp in making firearms..springfield had to copy them since all they had to show was the fuckin m1911 .45 thats too heavy to carry concealed comfortably dumbass

  • @86turkishman I carry my.45 very comfortably and CC. Need to with pyshcos like you around.

  • @FireFighter0254 well buddy if u see me then feel free to draw on me cause soon as i see a gun in ur hands and ur irate with me...remember a dead man can't talk...internet electronice tough ass cocky punk...out of all that i said thats all you come back with...ur a waste of oxygen

  • @FireFighter0254 you don't know me or my background..careful who u call psycho...u may just insult someone more mentally sound and safe than yourself...Mr.self destructive

  • @86turkishman Well I just want to personally tell you that I'm blocking you. I don't know why I let you infect my comments with negativity for so long. I wish we didn't have people like you representing the gun community. You give all of us a bad name, and your one-mindedness shows how ignorant you really are. I hope you have a great life. Take care.

  • @86turkishman You spelled "FAGGOT" wrong you cheese dick craving man gazer.

  • @MilitantPIG HAHAHAHA, that's hilarious. I was hoping you would say something to that Douche Bag. Nice team work, high five.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ Guys like thst are an easy target. LOL

  • @MilitantPIG Yeah he didn't say anything after my response... he will be missed.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ Dont worry, there will be another brain dead keyboard warrior come along and try to show everyone what little he knows what he's talking about to everyone, lol.

  • @86turkishman u got BURNED

  • @lbizzythefire glocks were out first fucktard..identical to glock except for a few minor differences that aren't nothing to write home about

  • thanx for doing the review, I was looking at the pachmayr, and now will go ahead with the hogue.

  • @cougfan755 I hate to possibly make you change your mind again but it wouldn't hurt to get both... They are cheap enough to do so. My only complaint with they Hogue is it does add quite a bit of width to the pistol, whereas the Pachmayr has a smaller profile. Overall I do like the Hogue better though. I hope that didn't make the decision harder for you. Good luck and let me know what you decide to go with.

  • I have both these grips too.... The Hogue grip is better as far as I'm concerned, doesn't more around >> Keep your video's a coming our way > they are great!!!!

  • I love the color combo of that XD, looks awesome!!

  • @psychoclown420 Thanks man, I'm not sure if I like how much of the FDE it covers up. I might just cut some traction tape myself and go that route.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ that's probably what i would do...

  • Another great vid, thanks bro!

  • @MrGunAddiction Thanks again, I feel like you guys get tired of me saying thank you... oh well. Like I was telling firinglinechannel, I'm not sure I'm a fan of the amount of pistol the grip covers up... more specifically the FDE. I might just cut some traction tape for it seeing as I have extra laying from my MPAG video.

  • Cool man! You can also stipple the grip with a soldering iron. It's permanent, easy to do, and free if you have a soldering iron.

  • @Mrcaffinebean Yeah I'm aware of stippling; I'm not a big fan of doing something permanent to my pistol. If I screw up on the stippling I've ruined my gun. It's great for people that are willing to do that, I just won’t do that myself.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ I here ya, it is pretty hard to screw up though. Just judging from how well put together your videos are, I think you would have the patience. But to each his own.

  • @Mrcaffinebean Oh really, see with me if the pattern was off it would annoy me every time I looked at it. I'm very anal when it comes to my stuff looking right, which is why I wouldn't dare do that myself to a 500 dollar gun. I see you have done some stippling, I see you have more guts than me... nice work.

  • @MustyYetisTacticalHQ Thanks although was just a cheap bb pistol. I could do it with a polymer firearm though. That reminds me, I'm looking forward to seeing how that 597 comes out. You do some great videos man!

  • @Mrcaffinebean Thanks a lot man, I really appreciate it. Lately it's getting harder and harder to make these videos with work and family. The 597 wont be done for quite a while but I'll definitely do a video the minute it is done.

  • good video man, i may have to get one for my xd...take it easy man...

  • @firinglinechannel They definitely make the gun more comfortable in your hand. However they do cover up a large amount of the pistol, more specifically the Flat Dark Earth color. I'm thinking I might cut some traction tape for the grip like I did my PMAG's... watch out for that video shortly.

  • Yet another awesome video!

  • @MetalStormProject Thanks man, the video felt a little short but there isn't much to talk about when it comes to rubber grips.
