  • 3:25....you could tell it was re-filmed....anne says it a tiny bit differently in series 2

  • @MsAbbie101 Thank you! I thought it was to do with his leg or something :L

  • What happened at 1:34?

  • @TheFlyleafKid

The Kings close friend Thomas Moore was beheaded and the King is screaming because he regrets it. Hope this helps xx

  • its not season 3 its season 2

  • The queen elizabeth showed her royal blood in her strong power and she is my favourite queen , but she must have been unhappy in he deeep heart, living with no children and loving, caring husband beside her .

  • what episode is 1:47-1:52

  • even though anita briem probably left due to the love scenes, it's kinda funny, in season three you actually see no sex scenes involving henry and jane... so all that worry and a new actress over nothing in the end

  • I think you may be thinking of katherine howard? =]

  • i study history so i can tell you that was the woman that henry most loved and most hated. it is written in several books. anne was extremely smart and she didin't like henry's mistress . jane seymour was completely different, she was a modest girl, no studies(she didin't know how to write her own name), ugly(she was much uglier than anne) and kind. henry changed a country for anne !that's why anne is henry's most famous wife

  • Then you should Know that Anne was not favored my the king because she was beautiful, but because she was smart!! and witty!! if you look at all of the old history's in England they reford to as Anne not a beauty like her sister but plane!!! and dull, for what beauty she lacked she made up for for uningness and beging intellegent!!!, but they also said that Jane was sort of a beauty but out of all his wifes with pictures none of them were beautiful!!.

  • I actually think that Annabelle Wallis was a much better Jane that Anita, who was so insipid. I've never been a fan of Jane and Wallis actually made me like her.

I guess they reshot it as a lot of people may have been confused when she reappeared 5 mins later as a different actress. I understand why people have issue with it but from the programme makers point of view, and the general audience's, it makes sense for continuity,

  • compared to katherine and anne - jane was nothing.

i really hate how they replaced the original jane with season 3's jane... she was horribly dull. at least anita briem gave jane a little life.. sheesh

  • wth did they reflim all of the old janes scenes or something?

  • @fleurgi Anita Briem quit before season 3, so they reshot those scenes with Annabelle Wallis

  • catherine willoughby (suffolk's wife) was a strong protestant, and suffolk was also supportive of the king's divorce.

  • Sorry, I meant to say that James I who succeeded Elizabeth's was her cousin's son. (Son of Mary Queen of Scots, whom she'd executed)

  • 3:27

  • haha is it me or is the new jane seymour as a replacement in these old scenes kind of annoying??

  • I think they should have kept Anita Briem for the preview instead of redoing scenes, it just doesn't seem right with Annabelle Wallis in certain scenes. It just feels so different!

  • i dont get showtime, can anyone tell me what happens over season 3, i know about the pilgramage of grace and all, but yea, you know what i mean

  • Porr Catherine/Catalina(Her orininal name until she was forced to change it)

  • my belief between Anne and her brother was that they were siblings, which of course would be the "i love you" but only because it was a family love and bond. it was usually normal for the hugging and kissing(the forehead or cheek). Anne was also a religious woman, and plus no one could prove if she did have any affairs. she may have before meeting Henry, but we wouldn't know unless we were Anne or those said men.

  • Why is there a different actor for Jane Seymour than the one who is the series in this preview ?

  • Because apparently Anita Briem (the first jane seymour) had concerns over any potential love scenes she might have to do, so she was replaced by Annabelle Wallis

  • he!! i love anne she's sooo sweet, henry is the asshole he is a crazy sick man! he would beheaded all his women if they can't to birth a son..!! poor anne because her father an her uncle and her brother pushed her...

  • He needed a son to succeed him or the whole country would erupt in civil war and others would be fighting over the crown. Mary and Elizabeth were still seen as illigitimate after Henry's death and only when Edward died were they allowed back into the line of succession. He didnt behead Anne Bolyn and Katherine Howard just because they didnt give him a son but more because it was claimed(whether it be true or not we dont know) they had been unfaithful to him.

  • I don't think so!! He didn't want anne anymore. she was getting on his nervs..and she didn't give him a son..

  • Ok think that if you want. But I think it wasnt so much to do with the son, based on history classes and history books. This programme is like Braveheart - brilliantly made but factually incorrect.

  • yeah. We all really don't know, and all that i know, is that henry didn't want her anymore but why he did behead her (anne) we all don't really know. But i guess he did it, because he wanted a son, and he knew that anne couldn't give him one.

  • many epic movies tend to be so. their priority is not to be factually correct but to be spectacular and entertaining.

  • Katheryn Howard was unfaithful.

    Anne Boleyn 90% evidence.

for Anne it truly was the fact she didnt give him a son.

She was a powerful woman in her own right - Tudor ladies werent supposed to be like that.

For infautation with her, Henry overlooked it, and anne continued to rise.

But when she failed to produce an heir, his love detiorated, and he saw what she was and what she was really doing.

and so, she 'fell of the pedistool' as u could say. With a little help from Henry.

  • @xsexyminxyx What was anne really doing? Were almost 100 percent of her innocence now, all the "so called adulterous acts were impossible do to the fact that most of Annes marriage and reign was spent in seclusion while with child.

You are right, she didnt give Henry a male Heir, but in the end, her child, the future Queen Elizabeth I was better then any King!

  • That makes sense. I'm new to Renaissance history, but I can't get enough of it. It is so ironic that King Henry VIII was obsessed with creating a male heir. I wonder how he would have reacted if he had known his daughter, Elizabeth, would acheive such greatness.

  • Henry wanted a Tudor succession. After Elizabeth the throne went to James I, her nephew, and this started the reign of the Stuarts. succession through a daughter would always mean the end of a Tudor dynasty when she married or even if she did not. I think Henry would have been proud of Elizabeth but would still have preferred a son to succeed him for those reasons.

  • Henry needed to get rid of Anne. She was not useful to him when she could not give birth to a son and when the marriage had antagonised the Emperor and not helped relations with France. He no longer loved her and the death of Katherine of Aragon allowed him to get rid of Anne without fear that the issue of legitimacy of his marriage to Katherine would be raised again. Whatever Henry privately believed about her supposed infidelity, it suited him to accept that she was unfaithful.

  • She was not a whore!

She was intellegent, driven and for a while got what she wanted.

  • exactly!

anne boleyn had personality, and though some of the things she did shocked me (concerning her treatment of mary, her sister mary, and katherine) everyone else forgets she was great to.

she had a very intellegent, ambitious and intelect way of thought - even Henry said if she were a man she would be a cardinal.

she didn't even conjour the thought of henry divorcing katherine! he considered that when he was with mary boleyn!

she was brave to be sent so innocently to the scaffold.

  • Well, her daughter kicked everyone's ass in the end, and ruled one hell of a nation. I do recall poor Jane died from an illness. No one deserve's any death no matter what.

  • I love the look between Anne and Mary at 1:49. Mary is sticking it to Anne, and Anne is using every ounce of willpower not to smack Mary in the mouth. Bravo!

  • lol they replaced the Jane Seymour girl for another... rumours said she doesn't want to do nude scenes.. So I guess we could see the new Jane Seymour naked.. lol

  • Did anyone notice in that review of season 1 & 2 that the actor who played Jane seymour was different from the aired season 2?

  • Thankiiies for it
