This was an awesome coaster. I know a lot of people got bad things to say about it, considering that it was rough. But there is not one other coaster in this world that had Vipers first inversion and there is only one standard other coaster in this world to be capable of the 360 heatline twist in coiled rings.

This was the most unpleasant rollercoaster experience, right here lol. The shoulder harnasses were like rocks...the ride was so painful and rough...terrible. The only good thing about it was 0:19 and 0:28: awesome hang time. But that's it. I remember coming back to the station and the ride op was like "How was the ride?" ....and nobody said a thing LOL.

I remember this. From the outside, you think, "oh, that doesn't look like much," but that first drop you fall like a brick, and then get suspended upside down long enough to put your shoulder out.

This was one of the crappiest coaster GA ever had, at least in my lifetime. Slow, short, few inversions and extremely painful. But it's ok, because with it's death came El Toro, one of the best wooden coasters in the world.

@michael0522 hmm, so they should have gotten rid of rolling thunder instead of this? Viper was manufactured by TOGO. Every rollercoaster they built was known for injuring people who would ride it.

Plus, Viper had so many problems, there were days and even weeks when it didn't run. So in '05 they took this garbage down. And with Kingda Ka that came in '05, along with El Toro in '06, who would want to rider Viper again,lol! And rolling thunder to this day still sees more riders than Viper!

It may have been small but packed mean right hook. Short and super intense in opening season. That first drop sure seemed a lot steeper than it did on this. In it's last season it was just brutally painful. Maintenence couldn't keep up with this thing so it was better off being put down.

Yea, this ride was painful... especially the upper barrel roll (too jolty) and the last turn before the station.. a too tight turn.. i always thought the last turn should have been a finale helix into the end brakes rather than turn to slam into the end brakes. the heartline roll in the rings was the sweet part of the entire ride. I got to ride this thing maybe 7 times total.

I remember riding this coaster as a teenager. It was fun, but rather pointless. El Toro is a much better replacement. The best coaster I have ever ridden.
