I've got to disagree with krismusicfan and Rodimus78. I think Matthew Ashford is a fabulous actor. Yes, he can do hilarious, but he can also do a scene like this. I buy the rage and the pain from him. I watch this and find Jack's actions here deplorable, yet I also sympathize with him. This isn't a scene to showcase it, but I also love MA's way of moving from humor to heavy emotion, which happens a lot in the scenes with Jennifer. MA's portrayal kept Jack from being a short term character.

There's something really sick and sad about the way he keeps insisting that he loves her and that he's going to "make love" to her.

I know that rape on television isn't funny....it's just that the actor who played Jack performed his role terribly in that rape scene. I couldn't help but laugh at his acting. I want to be VERY CLEAR THAT I'M NOT LAUGHING AT THE RAPE. I am laughing at the actor's performance. That's all I want to say about that.

I remember this. Jack was a nice guy in the beginning (just in love with a woman who didn't love him) but he soon became quite despicable. I stopped watching Days for a while and was shocked to find out he and Jennifer were the new super couple...then I got hooked. I gotta hand it to Matt Ashford. He did an incredible acting job...the redemption of his character was completely believable.

this scene is so sad. i feel so bad for kayla. i guess jack was just so upset that she had been with steve the entire time she was refusing him. wow, i cant even imagine how intense it must have been to act out that scene. id probably be scarred for life

the really heartbreaking thing about this scene is how Patch is so happy about being in love with kayla, but he isn't even there when this is happening. Jack's transition into fury is so horrifying

Ironically I recall this storyline but I assumed it was the 1st actor playing Jack. I was shocked to rewatch and realize that it was same actor who later hooked up w/ Melissa and Jenn.
