@AlcoholAssault: The reason they're talking about Shakespeare is because the title of the piece is "Montagues & Capulets." The Montagues and Capulets were the two opposing families in Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet."

The ballet version aka the original one is much more powerful and beautiful than those mediocre adaptation to metal styles.... and this is the opinion of one who likes both kinds of music... Prokofiev was such a composer! a genius! and this is simply a masterpiece!

I love the original, Im a fan of clasical meself. Well, Im a fan of Good music in general, although I find most pop to be terrible, especially modern pop.

But I think this is the best version that could've been made, although I wish there was a straight "on the beat" drum line, like ACDC style drum. It would work better I think for the main "riff" as it owuld be called in this song

I have to agree with you - Symphonic metal is probably one of the most talented and difficult genres to play. 

It is far more talented than the untalented 3 - 4 power cord players using drop D so they can play with a single finger bands that we are now accustomed to hearing on the radio. There is no true reason to even mention music theory on you tube, half will not know what it is or how works, and the other half will not have the intellect to Google it.

@dreamzwalker I may have misunderstood your statement on Drop D, but if I understood it correctly, I have to disagree.

Drop D can lead to simpler playing, sure. But it can also be used for much more complex pieces. After all, it's simply just another tuning.

As an extra point, some of the best music going is simple. Not everyone likes to listen to technical music all the time, some not at all. Sometimes it's good to just chill out to the simpler things in life :).
