sure, and enjoy your healthcare, your education, your jobs, hell, enjoy all your "special" ways.. *huck*
lets not forget the things he said... huge national debt, crumbling highway inferstructer... fuck it, your country's fucked.
after all, you can only keep living the way you can by keeping other countries down... why not pick on a real country? or do you realise lag does not exist in real life like on MW3? xD
Fuel are laughably cheap in the US and they are complaining that it's to much. Double the consumer price for gas (as it is here in Europe) with taxes and interesting things will happen.
I say put a 4 dollar TAX on every gallon of gas like in Europe and the rest of the world! Americans are getting WAYYYY too spoiled getting everything they want as cheap as possible. Times have gotta change!
Well i feel that we are not as spoiled as people say. We just have a higher standard, does that satisfy you? Umm if america crumbles, thats why theres europe! I'd go to italy or spain :}
That women at 3:30 should have a piece of carpet tape on her mouth. She makes really idiotic statements, such as "Problem with Europe is that there isn't any American cars there." Then she tries to derail Bob's discussion by asking about his Chrysler 500 (never heard of it). Come on, you have this great opportunity to ask important questions and she asks these stupid questions. Thanks for posting this video though.
This fellow is just bringing us the bad news - but there is a simple solution. Rebate income tax FIRST in an amount EQUAL to RAISING the Federal gas tax then let the individual make his choices. We should SHIFT NOT RAISE taxes!
Imagine $1000 rebate then $1.00/gal extra (we use about 1000 gallons/yr/family).
Trucker or pilot - no problem as we don't touch diesel or jet fuel and there will be more available. Drive a Hummer or delivery pizza to suburban couch potatoes - that is the problem...
The US has been pampered in this area - and still is. In Denmark were I live the gas is more than 9$ per gallon. And I do think that the US has to consider raising the taxes in general, because the economy is looking very very bad at the moment.
Consider this: all oil in the world is traded in $ - Now the the Middle Eastern oil producing states are thinking about trading in Euro because of the low Dollar value. If they do that, it will destroy the US economy. So please look into the future.
Europeans pay a draconian petrol tax and Value Added Tax that discourages driving and doesn't concern me in the slightest. Europeans can continue to hike their gas taxes and ride rickshaws for all I care.
Look I am actually showing a bit of concern for the US. The US economy is under a lot of pressure right now, and the gas prices are just a small portion of the problem. If the US don't take care of the issues now, we will see a USA in a couple of decades, which is economically ruined. So this is not a question about the US being more like the EU, but more a question of facing the facts instead of saying we are Americans and we'll do it the American way. Believe you me - the time is ticking....
This guy is right on some aspects of American transportation. How does the mass transit in the US compare to that of other Asian or European countries? What is the relation of urban sprawl and and cheap sprawl and How do we fix it? How do we either maintain the current path we are without raising either tax or cost?
This is an Interesting piece of footage. It's interesting and provocative. I believe your blogging skills have just raised a bar or two.
My deal is this....who cares about these other countries?!?! I don't live there, I don't drive there. I'm in the US and there's nothing wrong with change but this is a big change. People were just caught up in the I live America life is great and I don't have a care in the world, let's take a roadtrip. No on would have ever thought they wouldn't have enough gas to make it to work..I say DRILL!! Solve some problems.
Hey folks, here's a stereotype of a stupid American. Yes yes, it's cute, but this guy really is one of the 28% of Americans who still don't realize how fucking disgraceful this country has gotten after the last 8 years of Bush's oil gluttony.
Well do those other countries who pay more gas taxs get paid more at work? I'm sure they do. Gas prices go up here yet we still get paid the same amount we did when gas was cheaper. So we all make less than we did before technically.

I just paid $1.32 for a gallon of gas. Man it's great to not pay a draconian petrol and value added tax on gasoline. Europe, enjoy your gas taxes.
