0:20 George Steppplllnnos actually brought that shit up with Obama. A fucking brouche and whether or not someone has those stupid little things on. Who gives a shit?
As for the draft, Vietnam went on for 12 years with a draft. People like LBJ, Nixon, Bush....they want war and if in office, will do anything to get it.
We didn't stand there and let this happen. Was Phil asleep when 750,000 people demonstrated on 15 Feb 2003 in New York City? Lexington Ave was so jammed with people that we couldn't move because the NYPD wouldn't let us join the others on 1st Ave,
A LOT of us saw this coming. It was you all in the media that were on a kool aid high.
Feb 15, 2003 was a little late considering the war was signed into law about a year after 9/11. There was a YEAR to protest this irrational uprising to attack "someplace" in the middle east. To avenge 3000 civilians in NYC, we spend 4000 troops (dead), 30,000 mortally wounded, and 1 TRILLION in money that could have went to *Americans*, not gunpowder in the middle east. What a foolish foolish nation. It's like a bratty sooky teenager with a glock and daddy's credit card. "gonna pop a cap"
Phil is super... all those poor kids sent for a war for profit that the chickens and chickenhawks support.. if they where sent their, this war would be over loooong ago
I saw the film Body of War tonight in Los Angeles. Go and see it. It's powerful. Indite Bush! Jail Cheney! Execute Wolfowitz! Assassinate Rumsfeld! No prisoners! No prisoners!
But who is the career-boy interviewer here? He blows. Stop looking in the mirror, pal. You were ugly yesterday and you'll be just as ugly tommorrow. Get a job.
Phil Donhue single-handedly pioneered the era of trash tv talk television that ushered in the likes of Jerry Springer, Ricki Lake, Sally Jesse Raphael, Geraldo Rivera, Maury Povich, Jenny Jones, Montel Williams, ect. He's done more to decay the fabric of society than any ten wars combined could have. It's too late for legitimacy, Phil, your legacy is set in stone.
She's a trashy person. NOT A TEAM PLAYER. She does not belong in the Democratic Party. She is in bed with republicans.
Obama brushes it off. He is a team player. He doesn't knock her out with her own shit, because he respects a woman, Obama is a gentleman with integrity. U r a fool if u confuse gentleman-ness with weakness.
BUT after he is nominated...
ARE YOU SCARED? Gloves are off! Republicans & McCain won't see what hit him?. just wait ..
I hate these Bush bashers. What dont they like? Democracy in Iraq? Alqaida on the run with half their leaders dead? Saddam gone? We now have and ally in the mid east ( Iraq), and a military presence there? No further attacks since 911?
yes for as bad as saddam was he was for the most part secular which is more than can be said of most countries in the region. that is not to condone torture but thats not a viable reason to invade. by that logic there are way bigger offenders (CHINA)that we as a country support through trade while not even mentioning the blatant human rights abuses. seriously though, you should go to iraq, take a look for yourself and tell the people how better off they are.
I know people wo were there, and they say things are getting better all the time. Most Iraqis qre happier without Saddam. There are of course still problems to be worked out.
good then put your money where your mouth is go work for haliburton driving a truck over there since it is so good and happy. tell them how better off they are. see how you do.
no you didn't. stop with the bluster. you know your arguments are weak and you are obviously not that savy. your like a child. well... well i bought stock in haliburton. come on thats pretty weak.
I did'nt? OK. 27.50 three years ago, 46.70 today, 100 shares. Don't know what else to say. I like mining and energy related stocks right now, anything mining related is going up because of the cost of metals.
lie. if you did, would you feel the need to justify it in the youtube comment section? no. i'm probably guessing your middle age in moms basement anxiously anticipating your fun filled night of rubbing one out to Gretta van sustren right after a hotpocket and a mountain dew
Thats what I search youtube for most: things people say: "Phil is different after 15 years" - notice how: Getting smarter, or: being wrong before and going a new way: is a FLAW to some people. A fine example of the anti-education movement. 'Never let reality get in the way of your loyalties'
After watching Donahue's film, check out the bonus footage where Phil does a "where are they now" segment with the Chippendale Dancers that appeared on his show in the early 1980's.
this is a great show. I live in an army town in the middle of no where Oklahoma and its so sad here. So much death so many people in wheel chairs who can't even get transport vehicles from th VA . No one cares and no one sees what these families are going through.
People do care. That is why they are pissed when the Right attacks us as not supporting our soldiers because we want them home. Because we are concerned about the casualties, the stop loss, the brain injured without treatment, the high suicide rates, the homeless vets, the VA's and their lack of services, our government and it's lack of benefits, pulling troops out one day before they are eligible for their education grants... WE DO CARE!!!
yeah donahue makes a lot of sense with what he said here but he's not the only one that have these thoughts...unfortunately he's just saying what's already on a lot of people's mind and unfortunately it's true
now there goes one true great american, Mr, Donahue!!..it`s a shame this man never ran for the office. He would have been a great comandor and chief. truly the best!
This is the worst time ever. It's probably the Biggest challenge that any President will be required to face. Too bad he may not have enough time to turn things around and he will be blamed for it.
This is fucking sick and the icing on the cake is that people voted for a guy who wants to continue to do this for another 4+ years. Do something about your country America before you fall into poverty
Awesome interview. I remember Phil Donahue from the eighties. I'm glad he is coming back out and making the rounds. I have to assume from the context of his criticism of the media that he is a supporter of Barack Obama.
Under Bill Clinton, the S&P 500 soared 210%. Since George Bush took office, the S&P 500 has gained 2%. That is not 2% per year. That is 2% over the entire 7+ years.
We cannot afford another four years of George Bush economics under John McCain.
Phil Donahue is sooo right! Why are we wasting lives? Democracy? The US revolution didn't cause this much mayhem and destruction, why should this be? The big reason for this mayhem is capitalism at its worst!! I believe capitalism as filling a need and void in the market and making millions, not making millions from wasting lives!!
hey kickass video could you check mine out?> if you like then please subscribe =) keep up the good work!

You're an idiot and probably 16 years old DUMB. Phil was the only one in primetime news who spoke out against the war.
In many ways back then people were WAY too kind to the troops who were mostly war mongering faux news disciples.
This was a fucking jewish/khazarian war to build oil pipelines.
The amerikan people who sat by and watched this hoax unfold DESERVE to DIE!

1. The majority of Americans knew that there were no WMD
2. Americans love easy and guaranteed victory, so off to war they went thinking that Iraq was going to be an easy target.
3. Americans like to win wars without having to endure hardships or casualties.
4. Another concern was the cost of the war and Wolfwitz assured people that the Iraqi oil will finance the invation and they cheered.
So dont blame the President, blameyourownarrogance and greed

America is bored. All money, and win at all costs. The American flag and the herd instinct make it all possible. Where is the resistance?
