Thanks for the vid! I'm going to visit Lviv and the Ukraine for the 1st time in two weeks. Hope to explore the city. It looks like it is so full of culture and interesting old architecture.
Beautiful city. I was reading about this in a little piece about popular vacation destinations on MSN. The article said it is currently one of the most popular destinations in Europe, if not the most popular. Thanks, from Canada.
Great Video, Lviv is the most friendly city in Ukraine. The women are beautiful, the food is great, the buildings are awesome, been there 4 times and can't wait to go back. been to Yavoriv area also. Natalia will always have a place in my heart. The LVIV 1715 Beer is hands down the best beer on the planet. better than any beer I had in Germany.
For Ukraine, it is one of the nicest and Historical cities. I Don't like Kiev! Must say the women are some of Hottest on the Planet! Drink the local beer Lavivsky, not so bad. Much cheeper to party then Kiev or Odessa. Night life is great on the weekends. - Ed Pennsylvania USA
my grandfather is from here, he moved over to the U.K after the war. if anyone watching this is from Lviv and has a relative called Wladyslaw Dyda, he is now 89 years old, please contact me. would be nice to be in contact with a relative. thanks, Lisa Dyda :-)
I think why the polish people get so emotionaly involved about this city! Is because it reflects a past of poland! I think it was polish's university city in the past. Also i think it has great architecture and people see in it a little bit of warsaw before it was totaly razed by the germans. Anyway it's past and people who cry on what they've lost will never go forward! So nice city ;) Cheers
Thank you for reminding me for where I am from. This is my city! I was born and raised here. For about nine years I haven't come to this city of mine, and don't know why. After all, this video brought back my great childhood memories and most of all a feeling of being home, even though I am in the US. Thank you for this video and nostalgic music in background!!!
i am also trying to figure out the answer to this question.... i'm doing a presentation/essay on adam zagajewski, and can't find the pronunciation of lviv / lwow / lvov anywhere... :(
Hi Great video i have been to Lviv 4 times and going back soon... i am from Sydney Australia and have been to many many places but one of the best is Lviv .. great people and i love 1716
Hello ironbull2003! I am Armando Mudrik from Argentina in south America.
I would like make a question to you. It's about if you know where is a little town called Javorov. My grandfather was bornd in Javorov. He comes to Argentina in 1929 in the invasion of Poland. Please help me, because I don´t know more about it.
it's "Yavoriv" not Javorov... the town is in the Lviv oblast (which is like the Lviv region). If you search for Yavoriv on google, you should be able to find plenty of information and maps. Wikipedia should have some articles about it as well. Hope this helps..
p.s. that's ironic, i went to school with a girl whos last name was Mudrik.

I just came back from a visit to Ukraine and my family and I went to Lviv. This is a great video to show of a beautiful city. The Ukrainians were all very respectful and polite to us Americans. I am proud my grandmother was Ukrainian.
hi im polish, have been to lviv several times and like it a lot. please don't care about some idiots shouting "lwow polish". they are just stupid. cities changed owners and borders shifted. its just history. this is now fixed and will not be altered.
as for lviv you really must work on the roads because for a lot of western tourists it might be seen as a huge setback. also more signs in latin because the cyrylic is unintelligible. take care. Marcin from Poland.
Really nice video! Thanks a lot, it is filled with the small piece of real every-day life of that city which, I suppose, cannot be placed in only 5 minutes. Nevertheless, it is indeed Lviv "as is"!
It's beautiful city. I've visited it this year and hope to see it soon again. Take care of it friends Ukrainans! You have really great piece of art in your hands.
Just returned from a visit to this lovely city and the video is a good memory. Lovely people and a pleasure to visit. My grandfather was born in Brody which is not too far away.
Not bad at all; camerawork a little uncertain at times but somehow very evocative in spite of that and the strange choice of music. I was expecting Ukrainian music.......anyway; I enjoyed it and thanks for putting the video on.
