Have you ever thought about making a video of this song by using scenes from "The Cycling Tour" episode from "Monty Python's Flying Circus". the video would start out with the 2 monsters from the very end saying, "Are you ready, Maurice", "Righto, Kevin", "OK, HIT IT!!" The song starts with the scenes, Just a thought. I'd do it if i knew how.
@weenyone No I don't see that sorry but definitely a blond- haired Cilla Black - same mouth and teeth. Whatever, I like her as much now as I did way back when. I'm going to have fun at work tomorrow telling all those who swore they didn't know her, that really they did. Who could forget these songs? .... well actually I had - But I DID know her name. And I certainly recognise the songs.
I love how pretty much everyone here knows this song from the Monty Python episode. So for the rest of time, Clodagh will be associated with Trotsky and Eartha Kitt.
I just LOVED this one - the percussion's great! Thanks to hrpman for sharing and to primadonna11 for posting it!!!! Thanks to Malcolm Codd for this video too!
as long as there are lips to be kissed, love will never die or say bye as my eye will all ways blink and wink wink and skate my lips over lips to slide my lips against and steal a kiss for it is not a crime . 4 eye am kiss me dove there is no place to hide. kissmass dove kissmet
I LOVE THIS PERFORMANCE! Clodagh looks divine, sings superbly and camps it up a storm. A Jack-in-a-box-in an evening frock..jumping up and down on a string..green eyes..blonde curls and cleavage! It works a treat and stands up to the test of time. You gotta work with what you're given and she totally brought it home for the UK even if the song won or not, the performance was superb!
This performance was lifted from BBC's 'It's Cliff Richard' 1971 series.... a 'Song For Europe' special from 20th February 1971 where Clodagh sang all six contending songs.
Its horrific to think that nothing at all survives from all 13 shows in Cliff's series other than this wonderful clip featured here.
Were the previews repeated at some stage as the quality is awesome for 1971

There's more than a passing resemblance between Clogadh and Olivia Newton John from the same period. Anyone else noticed this?

In 1971 she was considered one of the sexiest singers in pop music. I still love this song. Besides that she knew she was fun!!

This is great. But back then she got death threats from the I.R.A by representing the UK. But basically Northern Ireland 'is' the part of the UK.
And she is really gorgeous too!! Great Song!
