Have you ever been in the military? I signed up and joined the US Army Infantry and went to basic in 07. I went AWOL, it was ridiculous how many people there were just drones to it all. They train you to not think. They teach you to just act on an impulse that they have designed. I didnt want to become another 'computer' for the US Government.

You say that this is an impossible situation, but given time, I can guarantee that the government can make martial law sound like something thats needed.

They are training you how to kill and how to survive in situations where you might second guess something that you really should not second guess. That's what basic is for, to help you survive in a combat zone.I have never met one soldier that said he would blindly follow orders without question. It is a fine balancing act but it is necessary to have both. Second soldiers are bound not by orders by superiors but by the constitution of the united states, and are bound by law to disobey unlawful orders. drones follow blindly, and US soldiers are hardly mindless robots. US presidents are designed to be relatively weak politically anyway.
