Early Incubus does sound reminiscent of RHCP, Primus and Mr Bungle (to which they even admit the influence of these bands) But the thing is that Incubus transformed frm being a cut -copy sort of band and made themselves into their own. Their new stuff aint anything like this or SCIENCE but Incubus are incubus and anythin they make will always be badass!!

@CCrestTheMusician ben kenney can slap the fuck out of a bass and he can right hand sweep, thats no easy feat. and hes much more diverse and more of a musician, dirk lance was the original but ben kenney is the new thing man and he fills the shoes better than anyone else could

no they woudn't. They are making lots of money off of people who mostly doesn't care if the music is creative, so why bother? besides, to the mass midia, funk metal is dead as the dead and the only notable band that still plays funk metal is Fishbone, give or take
