Question: What if I want to change the source?

Can I manage hyperlinks globally for a doc or do I have to change each one individually?

  • @meyerinsurance

The easiest way to do this:

    1) When "Pasting data" - e.g. from Word to Excel - activate the "Paste Link" Option

    2) Ensure that your Workbook Security Settings allow you to Update Hyperlinks Automatically when opening the workbook. This applies to Excel 2007 / 2010.

Hyperlinks are fragile - easily broken. I recommend saving both the Source (Word Document) and the Target (Excel workbook) in the same directory. Especially if copying to different computers.

  • wow great tip. This is what i am looking for. Thank alot Danny.
