@PoireauMan68 might be cos' it's Gilad Atzmon and not Davey Payne unless you were being ironic in which case i apologise for coming across all superior and shit.
Yes: Harvspenzance,: Its good you mentioned the S.A.H.B..: Ian Dury, And Alex Harvey were very good freinds.Indeedee... God bless both of them for the music they produced and there Gifted performances.
I feel I should add a comment about 'The Sensational Alex Harvey Band'. The same era, the same British lunacy, equally brilliant music but with a boozed up Glasgow attitude. Fantastic
Still the main man Ian. Especially loved the Glasgow version, but then, I'm from the blue half of town (We're on our way to Ibrox. Class). lol. A gent to the very end and always an inspiration when times are bad. Bless your yellow cotton socks sir.
the man is a legend im off to wembley & will be playing the best off Ian Drury including mash it up harry.Young kids cant believe what he did they think they invented this type of music!!!!!
Thank you very much for this. I am a very old person and picked up on Ian when he fronted a pub band. What a band! Absolutely top in every way. We will never see the likes again. If you don't smile while marvelling at this precious stuff, you are dead!
enjoy while its here, looks like they're removing all the good stuff, only going to be videos of people filming their skatboarding cat or some other tripe from now on :(
Schoolboy error. Blame it on ignorance, blame it on stupidity or blame it on the dog. Whichever you choose to blame it on you can consider me suitably chastened. An unforgivable mistake.

One of the true inspiring musicians to come out from the late 70's early 80's. Most of the punk bands of the time couldn't hold a candle to this man

No, Chaz Jankel isn't an incredible bass player, he's an incredible guitarist. Norman Watt-Roy on the other hand is an incredible bass player.
