  • i like watching this video i have seen it like 5 times now LOL and i still havent made it heheh

  • Wauu! American cuisine is so globalized (no irony or pun here). I live in Denmark, and no one around here is familiar with kulfi!

  • hey do u get money bye uploading videos because i want to be a member too does it cost money?

  • She looks like a criminal0_0

  • My favourite recipe,

well... Check my fridge see if we have any drinks.

Pour that into my ice lolly holder, wait a few hours & eat it.

  • Wait hold on at 5:51 your strawberry ice pop is only 1/4 of the way consumed when you are letting the dog have a taste. I would assume you ate the whole thing after that correct?, I mean one would think you like your own ice pops and can finish them or why would you even put out this vid. Assuming you did finish are you aware dogs love to eat shit and also clean their testicles etc? With that in mind was the flavor better or worse after the pooch had his fill?

  • You should try Dulce De Leche Ice Cream Pops!

  • You are perfect coocker! i want you to be my coocker!:D

  • What the fuck! Thanks for making everything difficult

  • thumbs up if you just came here because you typed in: 'how to cool off'

  • Blueberry yoghurt popsicles are my fave C: green tea and ginger is also nice.

  • HOLY CRAP. u have to stir for 4 hours?!?!?!?!

  • Give Humphrey some vanilla extract for his breath, the alcohol couldn't hurt either! Hey, I just stumbled here, and I love to cook, really cook, not nuke hot dogs, and usually I would run away from a "cooking" site/video because they are as common as cat pics, yes, pics, but something held me here! Good job girl! you sound more like a real chef than someone with a recipe to share! Hey, what if I want to avoid the alcohol in the vanilla extract? Is there another tasty way to make it? 52 yr M.

  • whats the brand of your ice cream/popcycle molds..?

    :-)

  • your dogs are so cute! :)

  • wonderful video! :D but i was wondering if you can leave out the ginger? i dont like the taste of the ginger but this video makes me want to try out this awesome recipe :D

  • at 5:43....i got the same elephant cups

  • You dont have a blender?

  • that was..........i dont know

  • Ginger o.o

  • I loved the pop molds you used - tired of the kiddie versions I can find in shops. Where can I get those please?

  • is it a good idea to pre-freeze the moulds?

  • coolest youtube video i've seen in a while!

  • This looks so amazing! Where can I get the molds like you have?

  • Soda pops are cool

  • @stargirlvictoria alcohol is always used in the making of extract.

  • how could you make Kulfi kid friendly?

  • why did you use vodka in the extract? is it usually done this way?

  • @stargirlvictoria Real extracts are made with alcohol, and their cheaper, imitation counterparts are artificially flavored.

  • aaaw! new dog? (frankie?)

  • Aweeesssoommme and soo cheaaap too!!!

  • what kind of camera do you use?

  • that is a fucking awesome mini grater.

  • where can i buy ice moulds?

  • @Andycool490 At your local store! ;) I have them and I got them at grocery stores! I think Walmart or... yeah.

  • Your puppy is sweet!

  • if you want to add cream do you add it after its cooking? or while its simmering?

  • @art7s77 after, you don't want to curdle your cream!

  • how long does it takes to freeze the ice pops?

  • @flavorofyourlips depending on the size of your ice pop molds and the coldness of your freezer, anywhere from 1-8 hrs. so plan accordingly!

  • make these ahead of time so u don't have 2 wait for them , they are really good ty for the recipe :):)

  • hey guys!!! are you having problem watching videos in youtube. whichever I play it just gets stuck playing/loading. its so annoying.

  • Please let us know how the horchata kulfi goes! Great episode!

  • GINGER AND STRABERRIES???? ILL JUST STAY AWAY FROM THE GINGER

  • skew some marachino cherries on a popsicle stick and fill the mold with sprite or cream soda. a few drops of OJ are optional.

thats my fav cause its cheap and delish

  • I make strawberry and yogurt sweatened with maple syrup. I don't care for pop cycles but my husband and son love them.

  • y the ginger?

  • @jijilevy Less soul in the food but more flavor...

  • @jijilevy Just for a little kick. I like spicy things. But feel free to omit if ginger isn't your thing!

  • I wish y'all could have made a soy milk version for ice pops. I wonder how that would work or taste. I can't drink milk or any kinda dairy it makes me sick. =[

  • @RenaeFlowers I don't know if the kulfi will work with just soy or rice milk, but a combination of soy/rice and coconut milk might work. My guess is you'd need the added creaminess of the coconut milk to keep the kulfi from being icy. Or you could try cooking down the soy or rice milk and then, when it's cooled, gently folding in some non-dairy whipped cream. If you give it a shot, please let me know how it comes out!

  • great recipe. I'll have to try that out with the kids.

  • Great shows, keep'em coming. Where do I get a fridge magnet?

  • What if you drink, is there an alternative to vodka ?

  • @Batistta56 Most store bought extracts are alcohol based, not enough booze to get you drunk but the flavors are alcohol soluble so you need it to "extract" the goodness.

  • @Batistta56 Most extracts are alcohol-based, but recipes generally require so little extract that the alcohol is negligent.

  • I don't know if I heard it right, but, did you say horchata is Mexican? Because actually it's Spanish!!!!

  • @vikonfire My mistake!

  • My Family are from Pakistan and I have often made Kulfi or Kulfa often

  • what about using a sweet red desert wine instead of water for the strawberry ones...im sure that would be awesome, Brown Brothers make a fantastic dolcetto and syrah that would go well or even add some balsamic vinegar to the original recipe would make its awesome.

cant wait till its summer to make these down here :)

    keep up the yummy work

  • We never see your brother.. he is on the intro it would be nice to see if he actually is on this show.

  • @Pantalooniesconqueso he is on the show back in season 1. but he moved to a different state recently, so he's not on the show a lot anymore.

  • Hm, personal question. But are you dating Brendan? I just notice he appears a lot in the show these days.

  • @kord6890 Haha, nope. We're good friends and Brendan's an awesome chef and co-host.

  • Thank you! ^.^

  • where did max go?

  • extremely good cinematography and editing, couldnt even pay attention to the content!!!

  • Thank you! Rebecca and Max I love your videos :)

Is this vanilla extract the one you used in the apple pie recipe?

    Bye

    Elisa

  • @neracortamara No, I just made that extract recently, but you could absolutely use it in the apple cake.

  • man that sounds delicious !!!! mmmmmmmmm

  • I had a cocksicle at the pride parade.

  • Srry with last comment with yourm, I mention your tastebuds will thank you

  • Kiwi mango Banana grape ice pops. Dice all the fruit. Bring a pan of water to a boil, then add as much sugar as u want. Then add a pinch of cinnamon, Ginger, and all spice. Add 1/8 of a cup of vanilla extract, then add 1/2 of each fruit. Strain the liquid from the fruit, keep the liquid hot, then mix all the fruit together in a pot, and add the liquid, freeze in a mould and yourm

  • red bean ice pops are the best! (:

  • Did you not include the price of the Saffron, because I know that is one expensive spice/herb. A tiny jar at my grocery store is like 13 dollars.

  • @iheartfamke I did include the saffron, I promise. You only need a few threads, so even for the hefty price of good saffron, it comes out to about 50¢ worth. Thanks for the question!

  • the proper way to pronounce kulfi to cool-fee. I'm Indian so thought I would let you know :)

  • @reemla Thank you! Sorry for the mispronunciation, and thanks for the info!

  • vodka makes vanilla extract? O_O!!1

  • i love horchata (specifically Mexican)!!

  • I hope she didn't eat the rest of the ice pop after feeding it to her dog!

  • @Zazeebee That's exactly what I was thinking.

  • @Zazeebee Uhh, nope. Sharing with Humphrey is a one-way street. As in, once he touches food, it's either his or the garbage can's.

  • The grater at 1:01 is so adorable!!!

  • Please wash Humphrey's teeth thoroughly, otherwise they will fall.

  • @praxis321 We'd like to report that Humphrey's teeth are brushed weekly. His breath, however, is still deadly.

  • @HungryNation $5.25 for 6 Kulfi pops using Saffron and real vanilla??!! HAHAHA you seriously don't expect us to believe that??!!

  • Comment removed

  • @bbqguy44 Actually, it is accurate. Here's how:

2 oz of saffron = $20; I used one gram in this recipe, which is worth 35¢

2 oz of real vanilla extract = $6; I used just under 1/2 an ounce, which = $1.25

    35¢ - saffron

    $1.25 - vanilla

    10¢ - sugar

    10¢ - 1 cardamom pod

    $3.50 - 1 qt milk

Total: $5.30 for 6 kulfi pops. I'm off by 5¢ but I also used more saffron than is strictly necessary.

Hope that helps you out. Our price breakdowns are always as accurate and factual as possible. Thanks!

  • With all the changes at Hungry Nation (and all Next New Networks channels), I'm so glad Working Class Foodies is still here. :)

  • @lazyhazycrazy Aww thanks :) We don't plan on going anywhere...unless Food Network or Cooking Channel give us a call.

  • Just an FYI- It's KOOL-FEE

    not KUHL-fee

(I'm Indian, and Kulfi is an Indian word) ;)

  • @goldeneye007662 i was jst abt to say the same things, lol

  • @goldeneye007662 Thanks for the pronunciation help! Sorry I mispronounced it. No disrespect meant.

  • @artfuse Ah don't worry about it. ;)

  • 6th viewer!!!!

  • Watermelon, mint, very little sugar, and blend them all together (I like it a little more chunky than smooth.) and just put them in molds.

I've had it as a kid, and love it more as an adult and its very refreshing. :D

  • I love the popsicle mold used for strawberry pop. Reminds me of one I had as a child. :)

  • wtf happened to max?
