Beautiful Merle! So you're starting him on channels 5 mos before he's old enough to close them? I always thought it was best to wait until they were old enough to do closed weaves and close them quickly, so they can learn to drive through them fast and not get too reliant on the channel. Were you able to get good driving forward speed and a single stride with this slower learning method?
Thank you. Conformation and weave spacing set the style of weaving and the style can change over time and method of training. I try not to dictate or expect a particular style of weaving from my dogs but instead encourage the dog to generalize the behavior. I did a number of things with that exercise including recalls, wraps, understanding of the MM and generalizing the entries, but only worked it maybe once a month or every other month. Mostly it's about play!

Thanks and you can't put anything sticky in it. It will muck up the dispenser. It must be dry kibble.
