you have to press a button or something first right? otherwise its a bit stupid if your walkin around with your phone and when you move your arm the volume changes all the time

Yep, you hold the walkman button (on left side of phone) to activate the volume control. What's better is the phone shuffles your playlist songs when you tilt it.
