Due to the exploshion created in the ending of the first Portal game the entire facility where the test chambers were contained exploded,allowing plantlife to grow into the chambers,but your thinking if the facility exploded how are there test chambers right?Well Gladios became dormant and began rebuilding the facility therefore that may explain the new features of Portal 2,and at the beggining of said game the player and a personality core encounter glados and wake her.OK?
