This is very unique music. I bought the record when it was released in 1974. It still sounds fresh and inspiring. Some folks aren't ready for this music. The shame is that the music is 37 years old. I guess they will never be ready for it. It's sad because it is their loss. Thank you for posting ficera!
To Mr. FateUnderGround: It's called ART; you can probably be forgiven for not recognizing it as such since so little exists in the repetitive and uninspired crap that's popular now. Why don't you try to at least open up your mind and allow the intent of the artists' in creating this beautiful, exotic, and otherworldly music to transform your sensibilities, You might even like the experience. And by the way, it's a combination of Wayne's soprano sax and Josef's analog synth(s), not horns.

I disagree, and I think it helps to hear this track in the context of the entire album/cd, w/ a really good sound system. It's a moody, mysterious piece that was riveting when they performed it live.
I listened to it for the DJ Premier sample, but except for that my opinion is that this track is completely unlistenable, the horns that go throughout are just way too loud, unless you like music that makes you jump
