Actually, the riff reminds me more of a Hendrix sort of thing (see Castles Made of Sand) but the way it's done doesn't go into that feel.

@fansofbands Crowder has stated several times that he was influenced by DMB. I also recall an early blog on their website where they were in town for a DMB concert and at a record store and Boyd Tinsley (DMB's violinist) walked in and Mike Hogan (DC*B's voilinist) started freaking out with excitement and ended up giving Boyd a copy of one of DCB's earlier cd's.

that isnt the crowdster guitar, built by Anderson Guitar Works, but is similar. that is actually a gibson (i saw it in a video where he was tlaking about it). he does have the crowdster custom model acoustic by Tom Anderson that is very similar
