@dirki91 yeah, flea knew him and introduced him to anthony but they made up their mind when they saw john auditioning for thelonious monster. and chad smith was also recommended to the band by a friend of them, Denise smth. so if you look at things this way chad didn't join the band through audition.

@Ferraioloboy93 "never be the same" is a HUGE HUGE understatement. they wouldn't be together anymore. RHCP wouldn't continue without Kiedis or Flea. there is no question. Kiedis would never continue without his brother. you should know that. its just not even possible. this band, without the founders, wouldn't be together anymore. and you must admit, Flea is instrumental in the RHCP sound, no one could ever even dream of taking his place and coming close to his sound and overwhelming presence.

@Ferraioloboy93 it would be. but it was completely clear that John just didn't give a fuck anymore. that guy did not want to be there. and it was bringing down everybody. hell, that guys playing after BSSM was pathetic. he just wasn't into it anymore. i was sad to see him go, but he needed to. he's not cut out for all this; he even said in the Funky Monks movie. its just not him. i'm happy that the boys are excited about having Josh, i'll give him a chance. he's making them happy so i'm happy :)

@888mandalore haha gotcha :) and yeah, i suppose you could say Californication was decent, definitely some great stuff on there. BTW was ok. but of that was without John im my opinion. in prob 80% of the stuff from those two albums it is clear to me John isn't too into it. his playing and excitement just can no longer be felt after BSSM, to me. i love the guy to death, but it was his time to go. might've been overdue actually. i just want him happy about his life. and definitely the boys<3 too!
