Redbox is fine in everything but there's some flaws. for one what if half of the people rent from one machine and return it to another. also what if you get a disk that's unplayable because lets face alot of people are just plan ignorant and don't care. like this fat guy who walked out of a Subway Restaurant bathroom without flushing the toilet or even turning off the sink..!

If I had as many DVDs, I'd buy a Redbox without the credit card issue so when I'm done with a movie, I just put it back in the machine so I don't have to organize the thing myself. When I want a DVD, I don't need to run around the house finding it. Instead, just a push of a button and the machine coughts it up

@antdude simple. redbox uses the same method as a vending machine. instead of getting candy however you get a dvd. each row has a number, you press a button on the outside which tells a computer inside the machine which row was selected and dispenses a dvd.

@beinteresting There is no split between Redbox and the owner of the machine. The owner keeps all revenues from rentals. The owner may purchase the machine from Redbox or a private seller. The owner does have to pay a $2500 activation fee for the first machine though, 750$ on machines after that.
