At 2:50, black only has a two point material advantage and an equal number of pawns. I think white could put up a good fight and possibly get a draw. If it came down to K+B vs. K+R. black could not force mate. A two pawn advantage is usually stronger than a rook vs. bishop advantage.

@chorejason This isn't a lecture retard.. the title clearly defines the video as a "Short Chess Game", there is no mention of in-depth analysis or discussion. From all that study I'd assume that you could investigate it all by yourself... am I wrong?

My engine shows about -0.5 for white in the variation of castling.apparently there is some sort of compensation in the exchange since a rook is worth 2 more pawns than a bishop otherwise it had shown <-2..

@lazimofo90 It looks kinda playable for white but if I guess if black is patient and plays solid he will slowly gain the advantage.

Having an extra piece for a rook can sometimes be an asset instead of a disadvantage if the exchange is made early in the game. Some attacking players in my club actually base their strategy on an early exchange, because many amateur players just blindly go for material whenever they can.

In this case white is worse because it takes too long to create an attack.

best move for white here is h4 thats what my analysing programm says and that in a case shows that white should not allow black to get his knight to d4

if i white i would've used f3 knight ot take d4 knight then the black bishiop would take white bishop and white rook under white bishop

Doesn't work. If the knight takes on d4 then Bxg2 and after Rg1 black recaptures with the c pawn on d4 attacking the e3 bishop. At this point Black's up a piece and each side has a piece hanging. Black will be up a piece. The best move as mentioned in the video is castling.
