  • Seriously Islander, is this the longest stretch in Heavyweight history where it's been a dead zone?

  • I'm English and I think Haye gets battered and stopped late.

  • They're not showing Cotto vs Myorga in th UK,does anybody know a website i can watch it on?

  • i've been waiting for this review for weeks now! thanks boxinginfo... you really have a very deep knowledge of boxing. i'm a filipino and i now look forward more to fights of donaire. pac fights has become stale for me.

question: which pacman fight would be interesting to watch? mayweather-pac has sailed and i dont hold my breath for it anymore (some dreams just dont come through). the mosley-pac...mehhh i think it would be boring.

  • @rasaecnai I think we should be patient with Pacquiao's matches, enjoy each of them. I would like to see Mayweather, I'm ok with Mosley if for no other reason to use him as a measuring stick between Pacquiao and Mayweather. I would really like to see the King of the 140lbers (winner of Bradley-Khan) get a shot although I'm sure Khan wouldn't take a fight with Pacquiao. Donaire I'm really pumped for him to fight Anselmo Moreno who I think he's going to tear through.

  • @boxinginfo Khan would jump at the chance to fight Manny, but it would mean finding another trainer of course.

  • James Degale is The One to watch

  • @DirkDigglerV3 He is something else, I'm going to ask even though I know the answer already. Who are you higher on Kell Brooke or James Degale? We are hearing a lot of noise in the US boxing media about both of them. Not as much as Amir Khan when he was at their stage but we still are hearing about them same way we did dare I say about one Audley Harrison back in 2000-2001.

  • @boxinginfo....definitely higher on DeGale at the moment. Hes more talented. Hes the British champ after 9 fights. Brook's career is standing still, hes still fighting at British level....i hear rumours he isnt that committed, its a shame cos hes talented too...i heard he was supposed to fight Mike Jones but nothin seems to be happenin on that front. I would be surprised if DeGale is fighting for a world title before him.

  • @DirkDigglerV3 Agreed totally. Watch him dominate Groves.

  • good job as always. i would like to see 118 unification. cotto vs mayorga ppv a joke. i will see martinez vs zinziruk.i think its a better offer. and what the hell in the world canelo and hatton are fighting for a titlle. all these organitazions are ruining the sport.

  • The reason why nobody talked about Montiel's "mistake " is because he does it all the time. That's his style he feints and makes you believe he's gonna throw a straight punch then he throws a roundhouse punch and often crosses his feet in the process and ends up out of position.

  • I remember that fight.Zarate and Zamora hated each other and there was a history between the two before they even fought. I think that's the fight when someone streaked in the ring.BTW, sorry I've been away for awhile, and great video. Thanks Islander......

  • It was Terron Millet. I still don't understand Zab.... back in the days Zab was sharp and he had pop with his fist. Zab was quick and KO'd most of his opponents (he even gave Floyd some trouble). It seems to me that Zab doesn't trust his abilities and his boxing potential. I notice that if you hit him with a good punch to his jaw Judah looks like he forgot how to box and runs for dear life. Well, I'm kinda glad he is training with Sweet Pea. Hopefully his attitude will turn around.

  • Growing up it seemed like the guy with the "green belt" was the man, now they are won in bogus fights or just handed to HBO's "golden boy". Pwil vs sergio=catchwt, pac vs tony=catchwt / unranked contender, saul v hatton=catchwt with unranked contender, berto vs ortiz=catchwt. WTF are the jr divisions for? now they have diamond and silver champs. Belts have completely lost value. would love to see a single elim tourney in all div, but wnt hapen b/c of BS netwrks/promotrs and sanctioning bodies

  • I like your analysis of Brandon Rios but I'd rather see Soto vs. Rios. I think by setting this matchup it will really bring out the Mexican Crowds. I do like the idea about Rios vs. Katsidis but I don't feel that bout is likely to happen since he will be fighting against "The Ghost."

  • acosta vs rios resembled cotto vs marg. acosta proved to be the better of the two but rios is the tougher of the two and eventually acosta folded to the preassure. Rios is another guy who will leave 135 soon but him vs soto guerrero or marquez would be great, sadly rumor has it that he's heading for a BS fight vs Barerra. Dont get me wrong, ive always been a fan but these ancients gota go. Becasue their names hold marquee value they postpone relevent fights with young fighters.

  • donaire is massive at the 118, even if he did move up. Despite the elite skill sets of agbeko, perez and mares, i think he is too big and too much for them. I hope he cleans up with mareno and the tourney winner. imo his big tests lie vs the elite at 126. Beside the obvious big names, up and comers like wilfredo vazquez jr and mike garcia have the size and skills to pose problems. add in donaire and 126 is the deepest division in boxing.

  • I really cant wait for the Haye Wlad fight, nice vid great knowledge, Alvarez got a huge following shame he was given such a opportunity.

  • Have to agree about this catchweight nonsense. A good payday for Hatton, so not suprising he took the fight, but what chance does a pressure fighter have when there is such a huge weight difference.

  • Maybe it's because it's because I'm an Englishman, but I think Haye can KO the champ.

    Engrossing videos as ever mate!

  • Montiel should fight the looser or the winner in the agbeko-marez fight.

  • i love ur vids but styles make fights, and ur prediction on haye- klit is gonna bite u on the ass. no one is more taylor made for vlad in that division, hayes gonna smother him. then haye will lose to his bro though....

  • @1REACH1 I'm in the majority mate, Haye is going to be eating from a straw. Smother? when has that guy ever shown the ability to fight on the inside? Even vs. Valuev he boxed at a distance. The clown is going down and it might be for a full 3 or 4 minutes.

  • @boxinginfo Haye a clown? Well, a fighter who goes twice abroad to someone's backyard to win a world title doesn't deserve to be labeled as a clown, especially not by such an expert as yourself. Shame on you Islander :) Anyway, don't forget Haye signed a contract to fight A Klitschko not Wlad. We'll see if wlad is as sure of himself as you are of Wlad. I got a feeling he will still be "injured" and let his big brother take his place. Regardless, I am going to the fight, are you?

  • @fcu1 Lets be clear, Haye went to France to fight a real champ in Mormeck and was nearly KO'd in the process. Then he only went to Germany to fight a stiff Russian make believe titleist. Its not liike he went to Russai so, don't say he went to two champions backyards b/c he didn't. Haye is going to fight Wlad and get himself exposed for the wild flawed amateur he really is plain and simple he can't fight on the inside and he can't beat either Klitschko from the outside.

  • @fcu1 Part2 and to answer your question NO I'm not traveling 3000+ miles to go to a fight that means almost nothing to me. Reason I say this? should Haye pull off a miracle he's getting creamed by Vitali (should he be fortunate enough to win today) and then Vitali will retire and leave the division in shambles like it is now after all the titles are put back together for a brief fleeting moment.

  • Not a big fan of Rios but I give him all the credit for coming back the way he did. He has that warrior mentality that doesnt give up. Dont know if you know this Islander but Rios broke his hand sometime during the fight (not sure right or left, or which round).

I would like to see Canelo fight Yuri Foreman (pending his fight vs. Wolak next week) and if Top Rank and Golden Showers can negotiate.

    Great video again.

  • I would love to see Mayorga win this weekend. He is 100% excitement. Exactly what the sport needs.

  • @sdbxnbbl91 I wouldn't wager too much on Mayorga, although I didn't think he had a prayer of a chance against Vargas either.

  • @boxinginfo Similar styles (Cotto and Vargas) and Cottos at a similar point in his career as Vargas was.

  • no comment on ponce de leon getting robbed?

  • @soccerrocks383 That fight sucked so bad I don't want to think about it it let alone talk about it.

  • actually, i think that punch that montiel threw is his favorite punch. it's not about how he throws his right hand, it's all about how he fakes to throw his left to confuse the opponent then throw the right hand. he did this to concepcion and other previous opponents. donaire explained the next day that montiel threw a fake left hook then a right hook that's the reason donaire got hit. its not about montiel throwing wide hook, it's a setup for his fake left hook.

  • @aznvedz Lets be clear, no orthodox boxer should throw a right hand "THAT WIDE" of his right shoulder, EVER or else you get KTFO, again watch the Holyfield_Douglas KO they are very similar in how the guy who gets KTFO is way out of position b/c they attempted a punch they shouldn't have.

  • @boxinginfo - yeah but montiel has been doing that not just the donaire fight and he's been doing to that to ko his opponents. i dont think that was a mistake from montiel. i think that was his plan but donaire, an excellent counterpuncher was able to make montiel pay for that punch.

  • It might just be me but Donaire reminds me alot of Jones Jr. The good(talent and excitement) and the bad(technical flaws he gets away with).

  • yawn Donaire is to big to strong for this weight class he beats everybody. easy money for gamblers

  • @soloM81 Let me know if you have some good outlets that allow Americanos.

  • Terron Millett.

  • The Montiel mistake was the same thing that Sidorenko did against Donaire and got caught with the same punch. Didn't KO him but put him on his ass. Would've thought that Montiel was smarter than that, but the winner was who I thought it was gonna be.

  • @baldylocks2009 so hard to get inside of NONITO .. every guy gets hit by that counter left hook cause it's fast and it was a setup ... look at DARCHINYAN too .... :)

  • @zendo09 The Darchinyan one was coming from the getgo though, he kept showing him the right being that it's the southpaw killa, and then timed that left perfectly. It wasn't so much out of amateurish punching by Vic as it was Nonito timing one to perfection.

  • Professor Islander - Donaire's wins over Darchinyan made me take notice, and this win over Montiel made me a fan. I expected him to win, but 2 rounds? Damn.

  • @danlfc1983 Again i point to the Montiel Buster Douglas comparison

  • @boxinginfo Yeah that was stupid.
