  • Compare this song/video to Filter's 'Dose' and 'Jurassital' on their album "Short Bus." It's like comparing Nirvana to the Bee Gee's!

Worst thing that happen to a band's music is for them to become overnight successes.

  • ok i figured it out... he sings about going nowhere... that's where the video fits in. it also goes nowhere & has nothing to do with the song whatsoever.

  • Nah, they just like the imagery of fast muscle cars going across the desert with model chicks (in lieu of pimple faced losers) hanging out at their shows:))

A more appropriate video would be the entire band skiing behind a fast muscle boat with a model driving it while they each jump a shark;)

  • this song is fo me thats why he wrote it

  • Five star rating...WTF?! This is the 2nd Filter song that I watched today with just a cliche repeated over and over. "The best things in life are free" with Casio electronic crap music in the background.

The video band members driving through the desert together is cheesy is hell.

Does Filter suck this bad or is this song the exception rather than the rule. I liked Nice Shot and Trip Like I Do, but this song and Where Do We Go From Here sucked ass!

  • i like this song for some reason, but you're right, filter kinda sucks.

  • Are you saying that you're broke or going nowhere?

  • check out so i quit from filter, its an amazing song

  • Just did.... yeah, 'So I Quit' rocks!

  • This song was also in the racing movie "Driven".

  • At least you didn't copyright infringe this song. /sarcasm

  • it was super in queer as folk ;) very hot scene

  • Super song!

  • Guess the guy from filter decided to grow a vagina after the 90's just like the dude from STP.

  • Is Daniel from "ugly betty" play in this video ?

  • yeah haha thats him.He was in the 3rd Crow movie, which filter did the soundtrack for it so yeah you got it right :)

  • i dont mind this song, kinda reminds me of buffy.

  • The song is ok... it's the drum loop that makes the song. But yeah in the video I was waiting for the Fucking Carebears to pull up along side of them in that cute racing scene.

  • The video is a real shit, but I love the song. I discovered it from the crow movie

  • yea uh they got some interesting videos. wow.

  • y wasn't this on the DVD 4 the crow 3

  • kimberlynkong,

steve gillis was using electronic drums in the background during recording. you can tell because at 2:20 when he starts hitting the steel snare, hes not playing any other instrument besides bass drum and high hat.

  • Great song, shit vid.

  • to:kimberlynkong Well, I think this could be the machine but it can be as well a special effect added. When me and my band recorded our album in a studio we could add lots of effects so that it sounded more or less like this.

  • "every one of you could be the same."

    lol

  • "the best things in life aren't for free..."

    true, extremely true

  • drumma gettin sweaty on this? or is it machine?

  • the best things aint free, cocaaine is expensive, so are hookers,

  • fuck drugs they ruin your life

  • this song is amazing!

  • This song would sound great joyriding.

  • Hahaha...yeah his brother played t-1000 in T2, I forgot about that.

  • It's T-1001

  • all the people that dont understand this video, why care , its a frigging video , it doesnt need to make sense.

  • this video ist strange. it has got all of the crow salvation cast and cars... bust strangely they doesn't fit together.

  • best song ever <3

  • tremendo tema ...filete filter a chile ....la raja....

  • I don't get this video! How about an explanation! :) great song but the video is ridiculous.

  • Haha! I remember that when it came out, I taped the clip out of my VHS. I was 16 at the time.

  • great song. weak vid.

  • uh.. um I'ma Filter fan bt gotta say this looks a bit too gay.

  • damn, this album got me through some tough times

  • The video seems like a car commercial...nothing else. It seriously does play like a poorly scripted and acted out advertisement. The song though....eesh,

Filter's done better but not very often. It's absolutely amazing, the video doesn't even ATTEMPT to do it justice. Richard Patrick has some amazing vocal chords.

  • ahh those muscle cars!

  • I dunno people say the video is shit but to me its kinda like a mockery of the vain and superficial joys in life...in the chorus he does the "th best things in life, aren't for me" - but i dunno that's just my interpretation

  • Are kirsten dunst and Jamie King in the video????

  • superior musicians(Trent)

  • Great Song!

The Crow always will be Brandon Lee...

  • "The best things" in The Crow: Salvation are Eric Mabius and this song.:))

  • Good song...crappy movie

  • Great song...boring video. Who's directing this crap?

  • great song agreed, shitty shallow video, look at that crowd? wtf is this? he's got this too fuckin happy mike patton wanna bee/hip hop look with a grin you just want slap off his face. I guess he's livin large now, with his big KEY WIZ hangin from his neck. everything's alllzzz good. BZZZT POOF!

  • i freaking love this song - filter is awesome and i think they get overlooked a lot of times

  • this was da best song when i was a lil kid

  • Filter The Best Band of the World

    Ich liebe es !!!

  • kirsten dunst is as good as this song.LOVE

  • Well, it turns out that this is indeed a soundtrack music video for The Crow: Salvation. Eric Mabius was the main character in that one.

  • Great song

    Very upbeat, love it!!!!!

  • Sorry, the guy with the grey hair at 2:29 regarding my last post. Got that Forrest Gump confusion with the 4s and the 9s sometimes. Bah!

  • I know this song was played at the closing credits of one of the Crow movies. I think it was The Crow: Salvation. Not the best one, but it was still pretty good. I'm not sure when this video was released, but it's sort of reminiscent of the movie in a sense that it hints it's part of the soundtrack. The logo on the car, the bird flying with them, the guy at 2:24 also looks like the main villain in the movie.

  • great song this one remember my teens years also layne staley, rip

  • Wow! The guy at 2:24 looks like Max Payne!

  • haha, He does

  • It's actually Eric Mabius from the show Ugly Betty.

  • i think u are the only person who noticed that

  • No, Sardok2 is not the only person that noticed that. He was also in the 1st Resident Evil movie. I kinda wish he got the part for Max Payne instead of Marky Mark

  • This song is really good! I heard it while watching "Queer As Folk" and liked it right away. XD

    ~ZB24~

  • Love the music...But some one make sure they stop making crap, cheesy, smiling to the camera fucked up videos.

  • awesome song, went great in the movie "Driven" during the stolen f1 race through the streets of Chicago.

  • This tune kix azz.

  • This may be my fave from Filter...Cool beat...The new one isn't bad...

  • MUSCLES CARS BAABBYY

  • Yea, it's glam but it jams.If I can I will too.

  • Yea, it's glam but it jams. If i can i will to.

  • Filter has the worst videos but makes good music.

  • Hey Man Nice Shot is their only video that i like.

  • I take it back -- They have one video I like -- Hey Man Nice Shot was nicely done. It created a cool atmosphere to the song. The "trip like I do" video had some good part but them overlapping the clips from spawn but it cheesy.

  • damn right they're industral! just listen to their other stuff they add sinth beets. heck their good friends with nine inch nails!

  • Lead singer, Richard Patrick, is a former member.

  • r u kidding... wikipedia said this was a inustrial metal band...I Hope they didn't meant this "Band"

  • Me too i miss the 90s, 2000 sucks!

  • yeah i never thought of the nineties as good music wise until now when everything sounds the same and everyone sings about the same crap

  • Is it just me or does this sound Garbage-ish?

Which is OK, because I love that band too!

  • I have to agree. I could see Garbage performing this song.

  • I miss the nineties too. Funny thing though, they didn't seem all that great at the time (the times not the band)

  • ch vermisse auch meine freundin:(

stäff ich liebe dich komm zurück

  • ahhh the song is for my ex-Boyfriend..miss him

  • i was reading comments but i had a dream i watched this video so i woke up and watched but your comment i saw in my sleep fucking scary

  • i miss 90s

  • Oh ya!

90's were the best without a doubt.

  • fucking great song!yeah!

  • Are they back together?

They're one of my top fav bands of this era.

  • Saw in London on Monday. Belter!!

  • i saw them few days ago at rock im park festival... they were absolutely great!

  • awesome song, and i prefer this version of the song over the album version.

  • There's hundreds of millions of people who are never going to watch Filter live and none of them were pompous enough to think other people care, cunt.

  • I'll buy an extra ticket at the next show to make up for you.

  • fuck you Karlos!

  • Filter will be at the Royal Oak Music Theatre Friday. I'm so excited!

  • Brian Liesegang and Geno Lenardo need to get back together with Filter.

Richard Patrick could of really used them on the New album, even though its alright it doesn't have that "Filter" feel to it.

And plus the "New" band members look like they should be in some "Pop Punk" band.

  • is that Eric Mabius in this video?

  • Yeah, this is off of the third crow film.

All of the bad guys are in it too.

  • what car is he driving?

  • that'd be a 71 dodge charger I think

  • Thanks a lot!

  • This song rocks!!! I also like Filter!! THey rock a 100%

  • yea they are brillant.but the videos lack it.

  • Filter are magic love this song great post man thanks

  • Happy to hear that there back with a new album

i can't wait to hear it

  • Great Song.

  • i love FILTeR but their vids suck~i think

  • yeah take a picture was the best one

  • ya the only vid i liked was where do we go from here

  • Great song!! Also listen to The Cure - Burn its one of the other songs for this movie!!

  • For which movie? The Cure-Burn is on The Crow soundtrack.

  • This band kicked major ass during the later half of the 90s

  • i'm sure the guy that plays chris in resident evil appeared in that

  • thats not kirsten drunkst,

  • either way he made a good point...

  • So HOT Kirsten Dunst!

  • is this the same lead as crystal method???

  • no, you getting confused with song trip like I do which came off the spawn album. An album of mostly rock artists mixed with dj's. I think crystal method and filter colaborated on that.

  • like that song

  • Who is the hor girl that appears at the beginning w/ pink glasses and again at the end?

  • the best cars mopar

  • i love this band

  • I love those beats.

  • I can't believe this guy used to be in Nine Inch Nails, and has the 2nd Terminator as a brother.

  • really nine inch nails i didn't know that! interesting. He kind of looks like his brother tho, angular features

  • haha yep

  • Ricky Martin?? What the fuck?!? That's about as close a comparison as Christina Aquilera and Jonathan Davis. Get your eyes checked, homie.

  • LOL!!!!

  • uns uns uns uns uns uns uns uns uns uns....

  • You can see Alex Corvis on this music video at 35 seconds!!!!

  • SMOKE THAT FILTER

  • This song is relentless

  • I saw them play this song at a club in Ft. Lauredale in FL they were awsome. One of the best live bands I have seen

  • good song... average video

  • That's some great drumming.

  • I was just thinkin the same thing

  • I think some of it is electronic, Filter tend to use a lot of industrial sounds.

  • It's a simple beat, but there's delay added in, so it sounds like more than it is

  • Yeah this whole album is tits!

  • FILTER fuckin rocks this song is SWEET

  • i <3 piggydicktrick!!!

    JK

    -NIN camp

  • The album version of the song is even better... This album kicks ass start to finish. "Skinny" is one of my favorite songs.

  • I prefer "Cancer" because of the bassline and the very simple guitar part... it's got a haunting feel to it

  • how many movies of the crow are there?

  • There are 4 that I know of.

  • Great band. I love.

  • I haven't heard this song on the radio since it came out. Good beat.

  • dukes of hazzard

  • good song, shit video. yay!

  • I like it, its abstract.

  • did that black car from 00:29 had the crow sign from the 3rd film?

  • ya it did. this is from the soundtrack. Most of the cast from the crow 3 is in the vid.

  • I like this song alot.

  • Love nothing more than a great scream and Richard Patrick has one of the best!

Cant wait for their new album, its been to long!

  • Sorry, i meant the guy in 00:34

  • Eric Mabius as Alex Corvis / The Crow

    The Crow: Salvation

  • Thats a yes. his name is Eric Mabius.

  • The Real Crow= Brandon Lee (R.I.P) Did you know they were also looking to cast Trent Reznor as the Crow before Brandon?

  • Hey...
