ok i figured it out... he sings about going nowhere... that's where the video fits in. it also goes nowhere & has nothing to do with the song whatsoever.
Nah, they just like the imagery of fast muscle cars going across the desert with model chicks (in lieu of pimple faced losers) hanging out at their shows:))
A more appropriate video would be the entire band skiing behind a fast muscle boat with a model driving it while they each jump a shark;)
Five star rating...WTF?! This is the 2nd Filter song that I watched today with just a cliche repeated over and over. "The best things in life are free" with Casio electronic crap music in the background.
The video band members driving through the desert together is cheesy is hell.
Does Filter suck this bad or is this song the exception rather than the rule. I liked Nice Shot and Trip Like I Do, but this song and Where Do We Go From Here sucked ass!
The song is ok... it's the drum loop that makes the song. But yeah in the video I was waiting for the Fucking Carebears to pull up along side of them in that cute racing scene.
steve gillis was using electronic drums in the background during recording. you can tell because at 2:20 when he starts hitting the steel snare, hes not playing any other instrument besides bass drum and high hat.
to:kimberlynkong Well, I think this could be the machine but it can be as well a special effect added. When me and my band recorded our album in a studio we could add lots of effects so that it sounded more or less like this.
The video seems like a car commercial...nothing else. It seriously does play like a poorly scripted and acted out advertisement. The song though....eesh,
Filter's done better but not very often. It's absolutely amazing, the video doesn't even ATTEMPT to do it justice. Richard Patrick has some amazing vocal chords.
I dunno people say the video is shit but to me its kinda like a mockery of the vain and superficial joys in life...in the chorus he does the "th best things in life, aren't for me" - but i dunno that's just my interpretation
great song agreed, shitty shallow video, look at that crowd? wtf is this? he's got this too fuckin happy mike patton wanna bee/hip hop look with a grin you just want slap off his face. I guess he's livin large now, with his big KEY WIZ hangin from his neck. everything's alllzzz good. BZZZT POOF!
I know this song was played at the closing credits of one of the Crow movies. I think it was The Crow: Salvation. Not the best one, but it was still pretty good. I'm not sure when this video was released, but it's sort of reminiscent of the movie in a sense that it hints it's part of the soundtrack. The logo on the car, the bird flying with them, the guy at 2:24 also looks like the main villain in the movie.
No, Sardok2 is not the only person that noticed that. He was also in the 1st Resident Evil movie. I kinda wish he got the part for Max Payne instead of Marky Mark
I take it back -- They have one video I like -- Hey Man Nice Shot was nicely done. It created a cool atmosphere to the song. The "trip like I do" video had some good part but them overlapping the clips from spawn but it cheesy.
There's hundreds of millions of people who are never going to watch Filter live and none of them were pompous enough to think other people care, cunt.
no, you getting confused with song trip like I do which came off the spawn album. An album of mostly rock artists mixed with dj's. I think crystal method and filter colaborated on that.
great song of one of the best bands yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Compare this song/video to Filter's 'Dose' and 'Jurassital' on their album "Short Bus." It's like comparing Nirvana to the Bee Gee's!
Worst thing that happen to a band's music is for them to become overnight successes.

Brian Liesegang and Geno Lenardo need to get back together with Filter.
Richard Patrick could of really used them on the New album, even though its alright it doesn't have that "Filter" feel to it.
