For the question asked at 9:20, the guy brings up the point that Jesus was peaceful but his second coming will be war. The war is for God to be God and bring justice. But that is God's role. Our role as disciples is to provide peace and love and thus follow the way of Jesus. Jesus was the example for us who would show us how to live as a servant and then show us how to die and in the end surrender our life. Just my current take on it, though I believe it to be more complicated than that.
@WhiteRook144 When the Lord commanded David to kill Goliath, it was because that was G-d performing His justice. But since Christ left us and gave us His spirit, we are to bring His justice with the help of the Holy Spirit along with remembering His teachings. It's hard for me to explain, and i don't claim to know it all, but i hope that we will just trust Christ's words. It comes down to His love. i think we learn the teachings best when we have faith and then experience them in faith.:)
Mrsawyer we cannoy look at the old testament and forget Christ. We have a big picture. If there was no Christ and no new testament you might have a leg to stand on. We need the old testament for knowledge and context but we don't rewind to a mind set without the person Jesus as we read it.
@WhiteRook144 i can't honestly tell you that i know if G-d had changed his mind or not, because i don't know how His thinking is, but if we look at the old testament, in the ten commandments we were not allowed to kill. In the instances that people were killed is because G-d told them to do it and they trust what he commanded. But G-d sent Christ to speak His authority to us, and we are commanded not to kill. Christ came to fufill the laws, not to take away from it.
@WhiteRook144 When we look at the OT, G-d wasn't among us in the flesh like when the world had Jesus to teach us and show us (now we have His teachings and the Holy Spirit), so folks in the OT knew they had to be set apart because G-d commanded them to be so. In Duetronomy, they have laws such as killing those who worship false idols that would now contradict what Christ has told us. So, i do think it's that G-d has changed, but G-d has given us a fuller understanding with Christ in the world.
@bringthenews Sorry, I was the only one recording. I normally don't do this bad a job, but it was a new camera and had no option for stablizing the shaking. As for the camera wandering off of Aaron, I was paying attention to him and not the camera. If it's too distracting, just listen to the audio.
How old are these? They look like they may be from 2006? His opinions have changed a bit since then. That's the thing with Aaron, he always has something wonderful to say, but his beliefs are always evolving.
thanks for sharing these.. - i check every couple months to see if there's any new Aaron Weiss interviews, etc. as I find his message rather inspirational.. - be well
i thought these things for a very long time and the more im told im wrong the more i study and the more i feel led to believe that war is not a place for a christian. This man is a true light in this dark culture of the western church and the religious right of america that practicaly makes the flag an idol. Aaron is a wise man.
seriously, i am humbly grateful to whoever posted these. new aaron weiss videos for the new year - a balm for a wounded and weary soul....thank you....
@rbowma1 Wow, I just reread it yesterday and apologize for how poorly written it is. The new edition will be much better, I promise! But thank you for reading.

What about David and Goliath? Or the thousands of other people God had people like Daniel and Samson kill in war?
