  • Eh... Pavarotti wins this one. This wasn't bad, but not near as good as Pavarotti.

  • @SSgtTJ well YEAH

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE IT

  • What's with the "I'm Italian (+ evaluation of the video)"?

Is it only because it's from Puccini's opera?

    Pffff

  • @MartaCelmina or maybe cuz we can do a better evaluation of the language? and what's with "only" a Puccini opera.

  • @sirlollo

if you read correctly, you'd see "only because" not "only Puccini".

you don't have to be Italian no understand the lyrics and evaluate music.

  • Oh My God what a awsome voice i'm italian

  • I'm italian, this is incredible!!!!! wow!!!

  • god bless him!

  • paul potts (america got talent) created 343 acounts

  • you're right

  • Very good!

  • Auf welchem Album find ich diesen Sound?

  • @akajette Auf der Warriors of the world ;)

  • Artystów poszukujących w przeróżnych miejscach swojego dopełnienia nie sposób nie kochać. Dlatego ja MANOWAR kocham.

  • This is an excellent version but the best of all is Pavarotti's, in my opinion... Pavarotti singing this song just gives me chills!!

  • that was actually good despite the fact that manowar is a shit

when I say shit I mean that manowar is the kind of thing that comes out of your ass after a three beer drinking binge

    nevertheless this was well done

    despite manowar being shit

  • holy fuck i just shed a tear after watching this...

  • bello =)

  • Eric Adam is a god.

  • in the morning i will win...

  • im italian, and i think is very good...but i think was better Pavarotti...maybe if the singer gets fat and gets bear...maybe it will be the same...spaghetti mandolino mafia and bankrupt we salut you

  • This has just made my night! :)

  • Patético.

  • @8871 ¿Porqué?

  • Talent and class to do that for his audience as they host him in their city.

  • Unreal! I love it! This is one of my favorite songs! It's so passionate & wonderful! The opera Turandot requires this passion because of the deep story line. This is one of the best covers I've ever heard! Bravissimo!

    Caio!

    SHanM

  • schon cool

  • @ rechtemaustaste

    Auf dieses Video antworten...

  • Very nice version from a very cool metal band. love it...

  • Isto também foi gravado em Lisboa !

  • you know what - can u sing it -no so heres a min go fuk yourself

  • gay version of beautiful aria

  • Comment removed

  • deve ancora mangiarne di pastasciutta prima di poterla cantare :)

  • nessun dorma version gay

  • Göttlich

  • WUNDERSCHÖN !!!

  • By the way, his voice breaks at 1:00. I'm not judgeing, just pointing out the fact.

  • If you expect Manowar to sing Nessun Dorma exactly like opera, you simply have the wrong expectations. You should expect them to sing it like Manowar, and judge it as a "cover", not as an opera performance. I think Eric Adams has a strong and powerful voice, and his vocal range is incredible. Of course he does not sound like an opera singer when he sings in his HM style.

  • what video is this from?

  • CHE BRAVI....... GRAZIE PER LA DEDICA A QUESTO POVERO PICCOLO PAESE :)

  • This is true opera! This is the art of singing on which the composers thought when they wrote they masterpieces, not this senseless shouting we hear from most of modern tenors which destroy the difficile compositions. I I'd really wish that Eric Adams would sing the complete part of Kalaf in a great opera house.

  • sau geil gesungen

    Ich liebe dieses Video!

  • Rather impressive really, to go so far out from his metal genre into opera is a testament to his talent!

even if he doesn't have the best voice for it, he certainly has the range and vocal power.

  • Come on man, just stick with your rock songs an leave the nessum dorma to someone who actualy knows how its done.

  • I'm italiano too, but this version isn't any thrilling...

excuse me, it's only my opinion.

  • @nignonignonigno lol.. have you ever been to a Manowar concert? I personally would really like to see how many people could ever sing this song so well after a 3hours show

  • @GSXReaper46 is true, you're right! :)

  • @nignonignonigno The thrilling part is to know a singer from a band like Man O War would not only know this song, but have the balls to perform it LIVE in front of a Hard Rock Audience. Besides the fact that his version of the tune KICKS ASS! In my opinion of course......lol

  • @Empire895 Balls? This is Manowar, and the fans of this band would like if they play a Justin Bieber song (in a Metal version, of course). The fans of this band are more fanatics than the fans of Dream Theater. Manowar is not a band, is a religion.

By the way, is a very good version of Nessun Dorma (and i don't like Manowar, kkkkkk)

  • I truly believe it is impossible to watch this without getting goosebumps. This is absolutely beautiful and powerful.

    Long Live Manowar.

  • YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW!

  • Fucking beautiful.

  • A masterpiece!!

  • Lo más.

  • Lo mas

  • funny thing is that he's actually singing the last two notes like Puccini wrote it, unlike Pavarotti and the other tenors, lol...

  • @MysteryGuitarMan Whoa, Mystery Guitar Man in a Manowar video! that's nice!

    Hail! x D

  • F.cking GOOOOD!!!

  • No words

  • Manowar the Gods of Metal...and Eric Adams has a gifted voice like Pavarotti or Mercury

  • Respect to Manowar.

  • FUCKING AWESOME. What a great way to remember Sr.Pavarotti,too. Manowar kick ass.

  • i was fuckin there,.....\m/

  • 326 dislike.. Tell me why.?

  • @ZynaraMetalPyco 163 opera lovers which hate metal and 163 rockers which hate opera ))

  • Absolutly AWESOME.It´s very Difficult at the End it´s going very high (High Tenor "b"),but he made it so that I think everybody get Goosebumps.

  • ERIC ADAMS IS THEEEE GREATEST SINGER AND BEST PERFORMER OF ALL TIME!!!! VERY TALENTED!!!!! ANYONE HEAR THE MUSIC HE MADE ON HIS "WILD LIFE AND WILD TIMES" VIDEO WITH CHESTER MOORE?????

DOESN'T FEATURE HIS GREAT VOICE!!!! I'M JUST TRYING TO POINT OUT THAT HE IS TRULY VERY TALENTED IN ALL FIELDS OF MUSIC!!!!

  • his pronunciation shouldn't be a surprise because Eric Adams(Louis Marullo) is an Italian too...

  • one the most amazing voices of rock/heavy metal...

    ERIC ADAMS

  • amazing... goosebumbs... that's what the music world nowadays doesn't realise, ALL METAL ARTISTS HAVE A CLASSIC EDUCATION... what kind of music education do today's artists have?

  • I'M ITALIAN AND I SAY : MAGNIFICENT!! SUPERB!!!!

  • autotune killed the radio industry

  • i love it

  • OH MY GOD, SO BEAUTIFUL, i could not believe this, so so perfect is this world become !!

  • If I had a wish I would want him to sing "Ombra mai fu" for me <3 <3 <3

  • they who sings heavy metal are those with master voices and can sing everything

  • Where did he sing this song?

  • @Sirchiotto

He told us at the end: Milano

  • A proof that Metal is not just about screaming and rebelling against the fact that you can't get laid and have run out of booze.

  • @Itsooz dude, you're clearly suffering from a metalhead complex. First of all, Nessum Dorma has nothing to do with metal musically. Second, Manowar sadly is all about what you wrote.

  • @Eliskoopa I'm not a metalhead and never was. And you'd be surprised how much metal and classical have in common if you study them closer.

  • manowar the tenors of metal, better the Gods of Metal, only one group and one man get in so deep n the opera, and were Queen and Freddie Mercury, and Erica Adams has make a risk to sing one if not is the most powerful aria, and he made, long live to Manowar

  • Im not italian, fucky you all, the cover is awesome

  • i'm italian! This cover rules!!!

  • i am italian too. this cover is horrid. at least he should have learnt the words.

  • @suskistube

  • I'm italian..this cover is fantastic!

  • Awesome..he have a Great Voice.

  • dats so awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • BIG!

  • total failure vowels are off and hes forcing it on the high pitches and people who said that hes a metal singer and not a classical well alot of classical singers sing with pop starts and they sound good so idk

  • Einfach geil oder?

  • great

  • he's got a typical classic voice... don'Ät think metal singers can't sing..

  • I'd like to point out for the critics that Eric chose to put this at the END of the set. He had already done a full concert and this was the finale. Either sing 2 hours worth of Manowar and then top this performance or go stick your head in a pig. This took balls, talent and skill.

  • Comment removed

  • It gives me the heebie-jeebies. ^^

    hmm.....^.^

    this powerful ending... uhh :D

  • Very poor vocal technique and faaar too weak voice for this aria. Basically for any serious tenor aria, or classical song for tenors. You need real voice and real balls for tenor arias. This is f***** awful.. For any metal singers out there: Stay tr00 and sing metal please..

  • @floydroseforever If you don't like this, listen to Rhapsody of fire an Shout up fucking ignorant!! lml

  • @SlashHN GFY

  • @floydroseforever pffffff ._.

  • @floydroseforever I thought it was pretty cool and besides, it's their show. They're havin' fun with it. So what. Chill the fuck out already. It's just entertainment, ferchrissake!

    peace

  • Now THIS is a really unique and stylish way for a metal band to end a concert. Respect! Mr Adams, I'm very deeply impresed. Thumbs up and 12 out of 10 stars... if there were any.

  • im a hugee metal fan . but opera and metal weren't made for each other.

  • @RushHernan Well then listen to (Old) Nightwish (before 2007), Epica or After Forever and then say that again :) There are many Metal Singers who are trained classically, they may not be able to sing a real opera but for some arias they are very good and the talent is there :) And what others said about the spirit of metal is true :) It is very much based on the principles of freedom and acceptance, and that's why many metalheads and Gothics listen to Classical Music aswell or other Music :)

  • the spirit of metal is such a beautiful thing. not singing metal yet metalheads all cheering their fucking hearts out for eric as he pours his heart and soul into a song. Theres alot of love among brothers and sisters of metal. Acceptance, freedom and brotherhood. Manowar is much more than music to me and indeed to alot of people as is alot of other bands. True metal and brotherhood! HAIL MANOWAR!

  • @sergemetal11

This isn't Pavarotti's music. Pavarotti was a singer. He did not write this neither was it written for him. This was written by Puccini a decade before Pavarotti was born. That said I do not believe than anyone sang it better than Pavarotti and in a manner of speaking, he did make it his own. However, despite how poorly Manowar might have performed this, I cannot fault them for attempting to bring some exposure of classical music to a crowd that might otherwise never hear

  • Woooo *_______________* Fantastic <3

  • Not even close.

  • No, no, sulla tua bocca lo dirò

  • I'm seriously impressed. Very good and that for a metal singer! I'm shocked!

  • who the fuck doesn´t like this?

  • @kepuz hail from finland!

  • i'm italian and i can say that his pronounce is veeery good!

    hail german neighbours!!

  • @Cloutzs

It's kinda his hobby to study foreign languages. AND SING IN THEM!!!!

  • respekt.nicht übel.

  • This is not opera but this song very cool and awesome !!

Wow Erci is very impressive !

Of course this is not Pavarotti, but ..this doesn't matter ! Erci sings in front of metal fan, not in an opera.

However, he shows that there is very good singer in the metal scene !!

Eric Adams, Micheal Kiske, Michele Luppi, Andre Matos, Timi Kotipelto...All these singers are so great !!

  • Eric is the best warrior !

  • Brutal xD

  • I rather listen to Björling sing it but if these dudes can get a bunch of metalheads to rock out to Puccini I'm down with that.

  • This is amazing!!!!! It brought me to tears some and gave me some goosebumps. lol This is a fantastic version of this song!!!

  • Eric is the best

  • It's very enoying that the band is louder than Eric's vocals at the end becuse he sing this better than Pavarotti and then you sing it REALLY good!

  • 309 gay´s

  • @matarael666 310 now !!!!! 310 peoples here are great tenors!!!! IoI ... /,,/

  • Bravo, Paizá !!!

  • To me, and not a opera knid of guy, I find this remarkable. I love Man o War.

  • What 3 tenors Nothing !!!!!! we have here, 307 tenors !!!!!! Yeahhhhhhh !!!

FORZA ITALIA

  • To the nay-sayer snobs in here: No, Eric is not Pavarotti and prolly does not do it perfect. Neither is (was) Pavarotti Eric. He would not do "The Gods Made Heavy Metal" perfectly either. BUT............as long as it is done with passion, there would be something there for everyone either way, Eric OR Luciano! Give it a rest and enjoy it for what it is...............entertainment!

    Live long and prosper, Eric

    R.I.P Luciano!

    peace

  • Of course the funny thing about a lot of the criticism directed at this performance is that it echoes that which was said about Puccini's own music in his day. There will always be tiresome, elitist snobs but there is nothing wrong with appealing to a large audience as long as it is done with passion and sincerity.

    Rock on Manowar, Rock on...

  • I'm amazed at all the bad feedback this performance has garnered. I am studying to be a classical singer (A baritone to be precise) and I love what Manowar has done here. First off, can you imagine the balls that it took for them to present this aria to a rock audience? Secondly, Erics' not going to sing it the same way classical singers do. He isn't one. He's presenting this beautiful and totemic piece of music to a whole new audience, free of the snobbery that usually comes with it.

  • @UnDead483 Thank you UnDead well said. And it takes serious balls to sing this aria much less in front of a bunch of metal freaks. And might I mention that he sang Where Eagles Dare(vid is here on yt)with Sarah Brightman? For an international star of her stature to want to sing with Eric Adams pays him the ultimate compliment. I might also mention that Eric has sung a Phantom of the Opera tune which caught Sarah's attention so she knew he could sing.

ND is a big song especially in GM well done!

  • Shit. Several tones down the original. Want to impress who? Rock fans, who know nothing of opera?

I love rock, but I'm not a fool to be impressed by that shit.

Manowar is far less than they might believe.

  • @LeloMigueis Original is in G major - this is in G major. Get your facts right.

  • @madeofwoodandwire

G major is harmonic tune. Compare the initial note of the song in the video of Pavarotti with Eric. You will notice that it goes well below the original tone. Eric is not a tenor does not sing the original notes of the composition as a opera singer. I'm not putting Eric, just trying to illustrate the less enlightened, who sing an opera requires singing the notes printed by comporsitor without the use of falsetto and other resources in the usual rock singers.

  • the dress in a very funny way.

  • nessun dorma? some shit faced idiot in a buttonless jacket? this is the worst i ve seen and heard so far .. is there a god?

  • metal + opera = magnificent !

I love his metal scream at the end. Eric is fantastic !

  • @Lonewolf182 you kidding me its the best

  • @Lonewolf1829 you are right man !

  • @Voicecolors Horrible vos!! : P

  • @2pac666alipsis yeah! good comment man! hahaha...stupid metalhead!

  • muy buena versión!!!

  • this is one of the worst things i have ever heard in my life...its so wrong on so many levels.

  • What can you say.............greatest singer in the whole world..........hail hail.......from andy in n. ireland

  • Fucking amazing

  • At the climax of this song (3:09), Eric is hitting a sustained B4 followed by an A4 note. (Mind boggling!) But what note is he in when he screams "yeaaaaah" at the end? (3:14)

  • @2000jago Looks like a D, on my guitar, but I can't assure You

  • @Hummel901546156 Thanks mate!

That's some vocal range Eric has! HAIL!

  • omfg... that was stunning... NeiraoUdreAd, you are sooooo right my friend...

  • antani!

  • That's one thing we have that pop fans don't- artists that immerse themselves in their music and throw everything they've got into it. For these guys, it's the heart, not the money.

  • Maravilloso !!!
