The highest wind class in Illinois is class 4- 15.7-16.8 mph at 50 meters high. The power curve for a common Suzlon 2MW -2000 kilowatt- wind turbine shows an output of only about 500 kilowatts at that wind speed. Far below the 2000 kilowatts for which it is rated and promoted. There are projects being built in class 2-3 wind. Chosing poor locations costs us all tax money and energy. Info is from the Illinois wind resource map and the Suzlon web site.

They destroy peoples investments in their homes and property and they ruin peoples quality of life who have to live near them.They put out 106dbs of noise into the country side and produce very little and sometimes no energy. They are a scam to get your tax money and make politicians look "green"
