  • sd card i mean

  • i got the same thing what the cd card for?

  • enter shikari ftw

  • Thank's, that was a gret review even with the small amp. You played some of the sounds as well and that was cool, but however I would go with what mikhail2741 said about the Alesis DM-10, such a nice unit, a little more for the buc but worth it. You get super great real sounding drums that will blow you away.. Thank's for such a great review rockstar.

  • I have sd7pk.. damm I wish I had ur drum set because I want more cymbal and toms

  • @mikhail2741 get alesis dm10 studio kit, check out of my channel, you can expand a lot!

  • Hi robby!!

  • i have that bfmv poster too!

  • Can you tell me if this kit has an input jack for an mp3 player so i can play along to music using my mp3 player?

  • you can use a stereo sorround sound system or a sound bar makes it sound better just get a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter

  • Price?

  • sounds are crappy

  • Man what about these haters hating on this drum set. This drum set is actually pretty good. Good video.

  • @garbageman216 said garbageman... :D

  • Ok I didn't want to but it's too good to pass up... "from behind"... probably the only time he'll ever get to say those words. Sorry bro, I had to but hey at least I'm not hating on your drum kit!

  • oh god this biggest shit drum kit ive ever seen and 1200 bucks ... u'd better buy used roland hd 3 ... waste of money

  • I have this kit and I realy like it.

  • its called rebound shithead.

  • I like this kit and i dnt Knw what ppl are talking about!

  • enter shikari in the backround lol

  • great video! hope you get better from your illness. You know that one that causes people to buy sd9ks!

  • enter shikari!!!!

  • I'm sure harmonykills was just excited to have a drumkit to practice on, but trust drummers who've played for years on both electronic and acoustic kits - the simmons is a waste of $. the sounds are sub-par, some of them my cell phone emulates better; the feel and playability is crap, and the kick-pad is a joke; the cymbal samples are absolute shit, you might as well forget about dynamics.. i could go on but you get it. just save a few extra hundred bucks and buy a used Roland V-kit or YamahaDTX

  • Is that a trigger failure on the right crash at 4:31/32?

  • @tk050305cnx looks like it. im pretty sure. i think ill get the Alesis DM5

  • simmons suck ! better roland yahama and alesis following your budget but this really is a waste of money

  • @netsabre01 orly? cool story bro

  • @netsabre01

Follow your budget? For Roland? You mean those sets that are like, 3+ grand? You make perfect sense buddy.

  • @netsabre01 SOOOO true. simmons is NOT good

  • @netsabre01 I played drums 30 years. That's wrong. Simmons invented the electronic drum kit. It's not the worst. You need to check up.

  • Enter Shikari

  • is that enter shikari i here :D

  • This set is Defective and is Untrustworthy.

  • what does he say at 0:36?

  • @ledzep250 he said so at 36

  • You're starting to figure it out. Cool man. Good luck with it.

  • hey i hav this kit and the big 11" tom and snare r shit, very unresponsive. but other than that i really do like the kit, any tips on how to get the best sound from it would be very useful thanks!!!

  • holy crap i think there was a kick drum trigger recall can some one confirm this?

  • don't buy this kit, my went unresponsive after 2 months of playing, I had to replace the kick pad 5 times. I returned it and got my 1000 dollars back and for 400 dollars more i upgraded to the Roland TD 4X, all mesh heads top of the line, simmons drums suck.

    Do not buy them!

  • I've been playing my SD7K for about 2 years now. I have had to fix the hair thick wires in one cymbal twice. They do start to crack the inner supports for the screws on the cymbals. For what it is and what it has done for me... I love it. When this breaks again... I'll just pony up for the new SD9K. Dollar for dollar... it's been great. Hard to get replacement parts... but so worth the 500.00 spent. 2 years of beating this thing... and it STILL works. I DO recommend this kit!

  • hey buddy, does it last? i heard its not too durable. Ive been playing for 8 years now but i know nothing about electronic sets. HELP ME OUT

  • its sucks my broke after a week

  • anybody know how durable this set is? does it last long? does it mistrigger alot?

  • it deos mistrigger fairly often, and the ride that came with my kit stopped working well after about a week. kind of dissapointing, but its under warrenty still.

  • can you add more cymbals to this kit?

  • yes, theres two spots to plug in more things

  • I can't wait to get this kit after my keyboard lessons, and drum lessons. and i also like the SD7K also. but i'll still get this kit.

  • I just got the SD9KR last week. It seems to be a decent set. Only difference is the SD9KR is the red set. Looks way better than all black.

  • nice drums bout to get mine saturday

  • does anyone else have problems with double bass, where one foot is much louder than the other?

  • maybe that foot is stronger

  • nah on my acoustic i dont have a problem. but i got it working now, i just had to move the beaters closer to the center and make sure they were spaced evenly compared to the middle

  • i have this drum set and i LOVE it had it for almost a month

  • i have this drum set, and I have had to replace the kick pad twice, a tom, and two cymbals. I wouldn't recomend this set to anyone. Its a piece of junk!

  • @Jetsen6 I've had to replace my bass once like a month after I bought it, + the bastards are dodging my GODDAMN calls!

  • @hager999 yeah simmons says they are coming out with a new bass pad. So they wont send me another until they make them. I cant believe I bought this piece of shit

  • @Jetsen6 What brand would you rather have gotten? I'm looking to get one, but not one of these $1000 ones. I know Roland is the best supposedly, but for around $500-$600 what would you get if SImmons isn't great like you stated? Alesis?

  • lol ur funnnnnny

  • The kit has plenty of sets that sound good. The Roland kits don't necessarily sound better they're just more punchy and better sampled.

  • I understand if you put this as spam but you can get this kit REALLY cheap on thomann. If youre interested for an E-kit they have really cheap kits. have a look!

  • One more question:

Can you modify the height of each pad like make it lower or higher ?

  • Yup

  • yes i was in guitar center today and got this kit I played this kit it is ajustable

  • I have this set, and yes you can modify the entire kit, internally and externally. I love this kit.

  • Is it possible to add more cymbals to it?

  • good vid my favorite kit on there is the "standerd 2" i think it is called with the deep like base

  • is simmons SD7K set good? i mean, considering the price, is it worth it?

also, i wanted to know... how loud are the pads of the set? (still talking about the SD7K)

    thanks

  • the sd7k reviews said it wasnt as responsive, and the cymbals arent chokeable

  • Does Anyone know if u can add drum kits to the sd9k or use mp3 or iPod on it plz help

  • i think there is a aux jack that you can plug into either mp3 or ipod or computer but im not exactly sure

  • BFMV fuck yea

  • Enter Shikari FTW!

  • whats the song? i like it,its my nhl 08 but i never knew what its called

  • the drum module sounds like shit.

  • Actually pretty helpful. Thank you...

  • Can u hit the drum pads and cymbls like u would a nonelectric set without breaking them

  • thats some faggy ass music in the background.

  • the song ur listening to sucks dick. listen to born of osiris or veil of maya.. much much better than that stupid screaming stock ass metalcore.

  • both wank

  • When the stick bounces back, thats called rebound. Just to let you know.

  • the sd7k isn't dual zone and you cant choke the symbols

if you wanna get a cheaper set go with the sd7k with the alesis surge symbols because you can choke them. that can be a handy feature

  • no. you dont order simmons at all. They fucking suck. mine broke

  • is it better than roland hd-1? i mean the sounds.

    plz answer

  • Line6 kicks the shit out of tube amps. You're obviously listening to shitty players

  • nice where did u gett themn

  • This is kinda like the SD7K right...? Just not as many drums??

I was planning on getting the SD7K but don't know if it's worth the $600

  • looks similar to the sd7k. but 1 extra tum and 1 extra crash. not sure how much just the set it. again though i believe you can by thebrain later and then the extra pieces later as you get money. the brain looks way better too lol. probably has more options as well. kinda like the sd5k to the sd7k the main differance was the brain and the 7k had way more options.

  • I would just save up and get a yamaha dtxplorer or maybe even a roland td4 even though its alot more expensive , if you wanna stay under the range a DD502/506 Would be a better choice alot more features for less and just a bit more depending on witch package you get.

  • I need a good thing to make it sound good out loud

Does it follow with the set or need to buy it sepperate?

  • Any1 who got a tip to buy a good electric´drum set i got 1 but im going to buy another and i got like 1.200 dollars should i buy this set?

  • can you plug in head phones with the SD7k ?

  • Yes you can :-)

  • yes with the sd7k you can.

  • can you choke the cymbals?

  • socceydude, yes you can choke the cymbals on this set. I own this set also. Like it ok but for the price you can get a better than average acoustic set. Electronic sets are more for a bedroom, home recording artist. It's kind of like the difference between a tube amp and a Lin6 amp. Very artificial sounding.

  • yeah i live in a house with 4 siblings and they can barely stand the sound of my rockband drums lol so i'm looking for an electric over an acoustic

  • Yeah, I hear ya bro. Just thought I would let you know. I have both and I immediately noticed the limitations of these kinds of electronic sets vs acoustic sets. But hey, acoustic sets are loud and can cause problems. Don't get me wrong, these electronic drums are ok and I use mine but nothing can ever replace an acoustic drum sound. Cheers!

  • ight dud thanks anyways hopefully I'll be getting this one :D

  • hey harmony. i go the kit too and really enjoy it. i like your review. i still need to learn alot on the kit. have you been able to get the actual user manual on it? i haven't been able to get one.

i just have a small jam at dmhalterman

  • yo dude so when you play the usb how do you do it what program or whatever??

  • is the legs on the set straight ? i just bought the 7pk but one of my legs was not straight so am going to get the return it for sd9 thanks for the review.

  • Is the ride 3 zone to do edge, bow and bell? Or what? Great vid I'm probably gettin it anyway.

  • just bringing it to ur attention u reversed the crash 2 and ride

  • can you plug your ipod in and listen and play along with your songs?

  • hoooo yes!!!!!

  • can u?!

  • bullet for my valentine rules! nice

  • can you demonstrate how you use ur blacklight please

  • is the module capable of cymbal or tom triggers?

  • 5000'th view!!!!!! HELL YEAH~~~!!!!

  • kinda off the point, but i saw A ROCK BAND GUITAR!!!!!

    LOL

    GREAT KIT

  • that mightve been a strat but maybe

  • hey man can you show us what everything looks like with the black light?

  • dang man you almost looked like Cobain lol

thanks for the review. I think this vid sealed my deal

  • Heres a third thing.

    3. Putting retarded fucking comments on drum set reviews.

    Go fuck yourself.

  • Besides, it doesnt matter what drumset you get, its how you play it. Neil Peart carried around a battered mess in trash cans for his first kit

  • Are you SERIOUS?!

  • WHAT?!!

  • not to be mean but that does sound bad

  • its called rebound :)

  • you sound like alexi laiho :D

  • i just got this set a couple of minutes ago and its good

  • when i record my hi hats dont get picked up any thing to help?

  • I'm assuming this kid has spent zero time on editing his kit sounds. They sound dry and cheesy. I have the same kit.....dude spent some time adding apropreate reverb and panning and experiment with what type of each drum you like....

  • when you record do you have any problems pickng up your high hats any thing that could help me??

  • when you save the song to a card how to you use it on your vids mine wont move in to movie maker any suggestions??

  • No, the Roland TD-3 is $899 or so and the new TD-4 is $995.00.

  • im getting this for 1000

  • whats on your sticks a grip

  • heh yea its just duct tape for the fuck of it, why not ya know lol

  • Nice review! I really want this kit! Ive played it 2 hours straight at guitar center today. I just need the money for it. I hope that day will come soon. I really love how it has 4 toms. : )

  • look at the roland td4

  • yea i got that kit i love it :)

  • cool kit

  • Those pads ... cymbals, bass, and drums just sound like you're hitting hard plastic. I'm glad you like your kit but I wouldn't spend even $50 for them. It's Roland all the way for me, baby. :-)

I'll have to check out your music videos, though. Peace.

  • These drums aren't anything near the quality of a Yamaha DTXpress or the Roland TD-3 and the new TD-4. I know these are a lot less expensive but you really could do much better with the aforementioned kits.

  • Great review dude. i'm buying it tomorrow now because of this review

  • nice shit dude, enjoy

  • yo im thinking about learning the drums, cuz i already play the guitar (check out my alesana cover)

anyways im gonna buy an sd7k

but which pedal should i buy?

i'd prefer a double bass drum peddle, but a single would be fine i guess

since its my first kit (and probably my last, im probably just gonna end up doing this for fun) i don't want to spend too much money.

100 dollars or less would be preferable.

or u could just tell me what u use...

    thanks :)

  • im thinking of getting the DW 7002PT pedal... :/

  • yo blacksails, simmons sd7k is the way to go. i have one, and it's great for someone somewhat (notice somewhat) experienced like me, or a beginner like you. and i have a DW7000 double-kick. it's pretty good. i believe they still have them in stock @ guitar center where i've bought the kit and pedal. anyway, good luck with everything. and nice review harmony, lol.

  • how do you open and close the high hat so good? when i do it it sounds really bad

  • Nice Review Im really thinking about returning the SD7K for this. Just a tip, you should use nylon heads for an electric kit.

  • Really?, my friend told me that it really wouldnt matter, thanks for the tip tho ^.^

  • rubber pads - doesn't matter what material

    mesh heads - wood heads

  • thanks man this is helpful, i have an acoustic kit, but my sister always bitches, so i need to buy a kit thats quiet for all night practice, its the exact same setup as my acoustic too, 4 toms a snare and a bass, ive got an iron cobra pedal already i can use on it too!

  • haha joeymann go play on your first act kit from walmart n stop tryin to act hard..

And this video actually helped alot because you pointed out the towel thing on the bass pad.. Really good idea.. lol mine was SOoooooo loud n that helps so much..

    Thanks man

  • hah hell yea man, the noise got on my bad side really fast. Im glad i helped!, thanks for the comment

  • nick,

    black eyes, nose bleeds?

    i gigled.

ur hair is still fucking hot.

and i wanna touch it. not the hair, the drums. =p

    or maybe both,

  • yea i have no idea wtf ur talking about, none of that comment made sense to me

  • Nice review.

  • dude ... that kit needs a better owner than you ... how long have been playing drums know for a week

  • are you serious? no, acually three years, wtf did you want me to do during a review, toss out all my skills jesus lulz your a dumbass ^.^ i like it
