I have been struggling with constant anxiety. I moved to an area where everyone knows everyone else and public opinion is thought of as truth. Quickly, I found I was a person with dots. My clothes were not right, my beliefs were not politically correct enough, and I did not compromise my views in order to achieve a higher standing. I was "mud" here. I prayed that the Lord would send me a good church and at the end of my prayer someone was on my door step to invite me to church. Thank you God.

I remember reading this is third grade in the reading circle. I was so amazed with the story back then, without knowing the true meaning behind it. I was reminded of this book when we were in World AP.. and they were talking at in the Holocaust Jewish people had to wear stars of David.. THEN I remembered this book. I look allll over and found it!! I, whom am now a Junior am sobbing because this book is A GIANT METAPHOR for our realtionship to God, and how we should only care what he thinks. <3

I bought this book for my friend who doesn't know Jesus. It's going to be her birthday and i'm afraid of how she'll receive the message because she made it clear to me that she does not want to be converted. I truly wish more people would know such a simple story such as this to understand the complexity of God's love. Hopefully all will go well, for the glory of God.

I first heard this story in elementary school. Then, an adult looked it for me online and found out it was Christian. Years later, I saw the cover of the book in the bookstore of one of my churches. I few months ago, I saw the cover again and tried to remember the name of the author. I looked it on Wikipedia and then on Google and found the name of the book. Next, I copy and paste the name on YouTube and saw it. I cried in the end because it reminds us how God loves all. May God bless everyone.

Today, in my church here in Japan, we watched the DVD in Japanese. I had never heard this story before. The DVD wasn't so great, but, when one of our ministry leaders read the page where Eli tells Panchinello he is special, one of the women we were ministering to started to cry. This story resonates so much with Japanese people, because so much of this culture is obsessed with what other people think of them and how well they can do things, to a much greater degree than in American culture.
